She honestly should be lucky he still considers her a friend too. I've been reading the manga and so far during the "investigation" she did realize her mistake, but too little too late. She threw herself off his totem pole of people as a love interest and she probably won't be able to get to where she ever was with him relationship wise, other than a childhood friend. He still cares for her and, somewhat, forgives her for what she done, but he definitely will never forget it. I say the best she can do is well... Support her favorite author and be lucky to be friends with said author. Maybe in time they can maybe laugh it off as adults as teenage shenanigans.

She did care, She had blindly fallen in love with the author because the stories spoke to her and gave her the support she needed at the time. That's why she was taking the support Yuta was giving her for granted and didn't actually realize how much he meant to her even as just her childhood friend. Since it was "more of the same" that she got from the stories. She also felt terrible after snapping at him when he confessed and said he was the author she loved. Hinting at that she did care for him a fair bit. Like I said, she doesn't want his money or care that the stories are super popular. The stories meant so much to her on an emotional level that she couldn't even read anything Yuuta wrote after she realized she had hurt him badly. Because if there was even a hint of Yuuta hating her and writing about it, it would completely break her because the only support she had growing up left her. It was intentionally done by the author to make the reader hate her. She's the main heroine of the story and the author attempts to make most of the story a redemption arc for her. If you actually read the manga you quickly realize she's the only interesting character in the plot and that all other female characters are useless and forgettable.

If you actually read the manga you learn that she's the ONLY character who cares for him because he's not an author. She's the only one who stops reading his work and stops caring about the author and instead only focuses on him as a person, not the author of some hit light novel. The reason why she's the most interesting character is simple. She's the only character who gets any type of story and character development. The other characters literally just exist. They're introduced in the first chapters and are given one chapter of introduction. After that they're just there and gush their panties for no reason. They recieve no development, no backstory, nothing. They're just there to satisfy the harem misdirection. Think what you want about the childhood friend, but she's literally the only character with any weaknesses that receive development and has a arc. That's why she's the only interesting character. This manga has alot of problems which is why it's not popular. One of the biggest problems is that the story is extremely bipolar. At face value it's read as another worthless revenge harem manga. But in reality the main plot of the manga is about the male protag and the female protag(Michiru's) relationship. Unfortunately people are butthurt about this and just wants it to be another boring harem manga with no depth or actual plot.

She's literally the only interesting character in this story with any room for character growth and plot development. MC and the two other girls are literal bots and plot devices. Anything surrounding them feels forced and uninteresting. Don't know how the story ends but it would be stupid if it just continued to be revenge porn. Pretty sure the correct direction is for Micharu to get him in the end through introspection and character development. That's the only plotline that actually actually results in a satisfactory payoff. Random model looking girls who loves the MC because he exist without having done nothing in the story are extremely boring. In the end, buildup, character development conflict are usually the main tools you use to end a story with a good payoff. There's literally zero reason for why any of the other girls should "win" in the end. They literally just exist and spawn into the story perfect from the beginning. The most shallow and boring characters you can center your story around.

The two main characters in this story(The guy and his childhood friend) has depth and character to them. The others are sidecharacters and it's intended by the creator of the story. The other characters are classic Deus Ex Machina characters. They just exist for the sole reason to develop the plot and make the actual main characters shine. Everything in this manga is fine, having empty sidecharacters to move the plot forward is literally done in every story. Unfortunately in this case, people fail to identify that they're just plotdevices.

Incorrect. This is only in the very beginning of the story, like the first chapter basically. If you pay attention, Michirus arc starts at around 48:41 in which you'll see that she slowly start shifting her thoughts and feelings AWAY from the Author Persona and Digimas and into Yuuta instead She stops caring about Digimas and the author bit by bit and instead gets flustered and jealous when she thinks and watches Yuuta. For example, he tries to walk him with him after school instead of going home afterschool to read/watch Digimas.

Usually im the devil's advocate for most tsunderes childhood friends as long as they dont cross the line. Michirou really really crossed the line though. The rejection being a heat of the moment thing i could have defended if she didnt get so visceral about it, then she holds someone she never even met on such a high pedestal that she did that to a childhood friend that stuck by her through a tough time. Then instead of having some light skeptism or at least joking it off instead of shutting him down like a rat infested restaurant, she goes out of her way despite everything she saw to try and find evidence that yuuta wasnt the author.

If you read the manga it becomes clear why she acted the way she did and it becomes somewhat understandable. Alot of intrinsic details were missed in this recap. The author intentionally made the rejection that extreme because he wants the readers to hate her on first impression. But as the story develops the author humanizes her, builds her character and gives a backstory to why she is how she is. If you actually like tsundere archetypes it should be interesting. She's literally the only interesting character in the story who gets any sort of development. The other female characters get nothing, they have their one chapter in the beginning to introduce them. After that they just become part of his entourage who literally wants to marry him for no logical reason at all. Unfortunately most readers read this as a revenge harem manga without thinking too much about it. But in reality, there is an actual plot to it. It's when she gets rejected by the male lead that the actual story begins.

But if you read it for what it is: "A story about two people who lost touch with eachother through misunderstandings finding their way back to eachother again", it makes sense and is quite enjoyable. Everything else like the other female characters in the story are just background noise to push the plot forward and to give the male lead some character development. If you do read it, I suggest reading it from the start and focus on viewing it through the perspective of both Yuuta and Michiru. They're both main characters in the story. Literally half the story is told through her eyes and is narrated by her alone. This aspect was severely missed in this recap as it rather painted her as the antagonist who the male protag would get revenge on by assembling a Harem and becoming the next Steven Spielberg.

The worst thing you can do to someone who belittles you and rejects you is to show them you're successful and happy without them as well... Also, all three girls were just interested in him romantically AFTER they knew he was Kamimatsu. Maybe the VA would have entertained the idea of dating him and not Kamimatsu, but we'll never know. Even if her feelings came to be genuine the length it took for that to happen is a big turn off. If she had never known that her friend was the great author she would have continued to side step him, putting everything and everyone else before him. It was obvious that she saw him as some nuisance the moment she became famous in her school. In the back of her mind she assumed he was still madly in love, probably even making her feel proud that she had something over the two famous girls, only to not realize the impact of her rejection. But of course not, not when she ignored the reason why he almost retired in the first place.

I think people misunderstood Michiru's character lol She isn't a gold digger, rather she puts the "Author" on a pedestal, but is tsundere for the MC from the hints throughout the story. Since he asserted himself as the author during MCs confession(which is true but she didn't know). It caused her to act more harshly because of the how she view the idealized "Author". It doesn't matter, she chose those words KNOWING her relationship to the protagonist and chose to hurt him that way. She knew he wrote; she only ever thought about herself. The protagonist asks for time; she has none for him because she chose her falsely made man as the number one priority. Even him claiming to be that same person made her sick, and she admitted it. It doesn't matter how blind you are. If you are a friend to someone and you treat a friend well in any case, you would not go after something they cherish so closely like she did, tsundere or not. That's being a truly toxic person. You can't fix that with a sudden realization, especially one like this that is being shown. There isn't a good excuse for not only NOT making time for someone you DON'T value, but to destroy someone in an extremely vulnerable area in their lives. I've had someone who chose to spend time on KZbin versus a friend of mine. They then actually came crawling back to him because of X reasons. He spoke with her in a cafe and told her two important things: #1: You never have made time for me before; nothing will change, no matter the amount of chances I gave. #2: It doesn't matter if you're raking yourself over hot coals now; I have a limited lifespan. Why would I want to wait for you to choose me finally after you're done with things you chose over me? Of course, she tried apologizing, but he and I left after. I remind him about it from time to time because people suck. When you as a person reflect on that second reason and understand what that means, no one should spend time with stupid or people who are just using you for anything. Let me quote you on something though: 'She's a tsundere who is not aware of her feelings.' The way things are shown throughout this page, when it came to it, after the actions she chose and how things played out, and after she finally confirmed it was him-mind you, she was looking to confirm he was lying-everyone can see that she is being shown as a gold digger (simply because of the timing). Look at it a little more objectively and you'll see that's true. It's the same timing as if said tsundere were to realize feelings as the main character becomes more surrounded with other women. It does happen-feels only arise when things are gone-but this isn't one of those cases. As simply as, 'Oh, now I get it.'

Random model just spawns into the story with zero room for character development from the get go because she's perfect. Most readers seem to hate the Michairu girl which is understandable because she was written to be hated due to her early character arc. But I'd say you're blind if you watch this story without realizing she's the only interesting character with room for growth and introspection. Hopefully the author knows this aswell.

@@randywebb6574 Pretty sure Michiru will win in the end. The whole story is literally narrated through her and Yutas experiences, it's those two telling the story of this manga. Now the question is whether the author is skillful enough to pull it off. Pretty confident all the other female characters in the story just are distractions to move the plot. Some of the best writing is when you're able to either take a character everyone loves and make everyone hate it, or when you take a character everyone hates and make everyone love it. It's hard to pull off and often feels to forced, but if you know what you're doing it's a very effective tool in writing.
