4:13 it’s better to just throw the EMP into the aruni gate then disabling it. When disabling it cuts back on after 9 seconds whereas completely turning it off another player has to shoot it. It’s just better to completely turn it off with throwable than disabling.

Well, yes and no - if you temp-disable it, it goes off right away, no delay. For a quick-entry, it is better to emp it.

I also think his plan was to disable it, plant, and go back out before it turns back on. Making it so that if the defenders wanted to impact/C4 his shield they'd have to be right in front of the window anyway to switch off the aruni gate so they can through either trough, making it easier for him to get an easy kill. As always with Macey he's thinking in 4D chess with this game.

Another reason why you might EMP it is because that EMP sound does not usually correlate with going through Aruni gates. If they haven't heard the gate break noise then perhaps they think they can assume no one has entered which of course wouldn't be the case here. But I think it's mostly because of what 1 of the other replies said, it's a faster entry and Macie expected to get in, plant and get out before it turned back on.

Another factor though is you can take out other gadgets in the vicinity that you might not know about if you actually detonate the EMP

Everybody asking about the aruni gate EMP, my best guess is his intention was to get out before it reactivated and have it block a C4 or impact or alert him when they got close to the window. The real question is could they shoot his head from that table in the other clip?

I've always wondered the reason as to why people would EMP an Aruni gate instead of just burning it with the projectile since the downtime is much longer. I guess this could be one.

Macie, why do you EMP aruni gates which only disassembles it, instead of using the EMP to burn the gate that requires the opponent to shoot the gate to reactivate?

Yo Macie, is there a reason why you always deactivate Aruni gates by throwing the emp at the top to just disable it for a few seconds? I've seen you do it a lot. If you just throw it into the gate, you deactivate it fully and I don't think the time until you can walk through is so much longer. So I was just wondering if you do it on purpose.

ive always felt capitao was underutilized, im glad to see him finally being used properly, but sens is another op i feel could make a huge impact in a round but ppl dont use it. same with tachanka, he was such a meme for so long that ppl dont use him because of that, even though his area denial is better than smokes. id love to see a tachanka plant denial video like the one you did with ela. love your shit macie keep it up

As someone who hasn't played siege or CS in years, I find it extremely funny and sad to hear that a lot of high rank players do not value the objective. Getting a plant off is like the most important thing when attacking, because you turn the defender's advantage on its head.

There is only one way to win with the capitao fire on defuser. There should be a doc which helps who is defusing by shooting him. That can be a solution
