Mom either has no therapist, or that therapist sucks. Basically saying “You need to open yourself up to more abuse for your abuser’s sake.”

mentals can control themselves better than people think. mentals lie, think they don't need help. think they don't need meds. it is everyone else's problem or fault and when faced with rock solid proof they are crappy people just deny, deflect and otherwise walk away from any possible help. I have NO sympathy for them when they harm and hurt other people.

A lot of times, you'll meet some half-assed therapist who only cares about their client and no one else.
@RoseKoneko3 ай бұрын
They only have her side. My mom is bipolar too, she never told her therapist that she tried to hit me with her car, just that I took her keys. Nothing is their fault, it’s everyone else who made them do this or that. Or even better; “I’m mentally ill, get over it” said with a shrug as an apology.

@@southernflight5078 a lot of times with clients that are really good at presenting themselves as victimized individuals, it’s really easy to be fooled into thinking they are mostly innocent, and opt for reconciliation to outside family members. The therapist is only getting one side. Group therapy tends to be the environments where they get caught in 4k.

The notion of a flawless marriage or relationship is a myth. There's no set formula for success; what works for one couple may not work for another. Yet, I've discovered that there's always a way forward, even in the most challenging times. Five years ago, my wife and I encountered significant hurdles in our marriage that nearly led to divorce. Despite the adversity, we managed to weather the storm and emerge from it with our bond renewed and revitalized

S1: wife's family is extremely toxic and evil. in times like this, we should be there for those who are grieving through the loss of a loved one. even more so the loss of a child. the fact they sounded more annoyed than anything shows they have a severe lack of empathy for anyone and would play the victim in the aftermath of situations like this
