Nice demo of the line module! I was waiting for a video from you and this was great. I was having a hard time deciding between the PO-33 and PO-35 when I ordered the line module and ended up going with the 35. It’s pretty fun so far, but still learning it and how to integrate it with the OP-Z.

Just pulled the metaphorical trigger on the 35 myself...Looking forward to making some autotune again :)

Thank you for providing a tutorial that includes clips from the app. I've found so many opz tutorials that only use the equipment. It's helpful to have a visual of what's going on inside the machine.

Thanks for a great demo! For the time being I'll stick with my Oplab module, the CV and gate outputs are very handy with my vintage analog gear. The audio in is a big deal, but for me not a $150 big deal.
@jaguarvssnake2 жыл бұрын
I feel the same. I’m happy with Oplab and at least have the TRRS splitter from digdugdiy for audio in, which is less than a third of the price and works great. I’ll buy a Line Module used when the prices come down.
@edgeof602 жыл бұрын
@@jaguarvssnake Thanks for the tip! Does this thing work as a true line in? Does it let you process audio with the OP-Z effects and filters?
@jaguarvssnake2 жыл бұрын
@@edgeof60 absolutely, it does all of that very well!

Sure, if you have CV gear than the OPlab is right for you....for most other cases the line module is wonderful!
@beepsblipsandbloops85182 жыл бұрын
@@edgeof60 The standard input on the op-z is a mono "mic" line. Per digdugdiy: "Separates MIC MONO INPUT (Pink) and STEREO OUTPUT (Green) signals to individual output jacks". I haven't tested yet, but the readily available and more robust irig 2 should suffice, minus the volume control of the digdugdiy (passive volume at that, whereby it's volume encoder will attenuate volume but not boost it). If you get an irig pro you can actually boost signal, albeit at a higher price than the irig 2 or digdugdiy. Personlly, I'd just go with the irig 2.

Very solid video- thanks! :-) *** I wish you had explained the OP-Z / OP-1 syncing set up though! Are you using a midi hub to pull that off? What cables are you using? What are internal settings for OP-1 / OP-Z?
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
My pleasure! Thanks for stopping by ✌️
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
I cut the part of explaining the cable from the video, I guess I shouldn’t have. In this case I was simply using a usb-c to usb-mini cable. This allows me to send MIDI from the OP-Z to the OP-1. All drum channels are set to the same channel and sending to the OP-1’s drum synth. I gave each different drum element its own track, in order to mute them and give them different step components separately. Let me know if this helps!
@monatooo2 жыл бұрын
pssst you can have a low budget version of the line in module by bying a cable that combines line in and microphone in into one cable the opz has support for a headphone mic (so you can use the adapter to get line in (you can also use global fx to play with your sound) sorry for the bad description but if anyone has questions u can ask me :)
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Yup, I did that before too!Great if you only need the input part. But there is more to the line module. 2nd audio output, as well as PO-sync can be useful.

Not sure if I'm missing something but does the PO-sync, besides it adding the OP-Z reverb, delay etc it doesnt add step components or performance effects? and vice versa none of the PO's FX can be used on the OP-Z tracks? So syncing the PO really is more for matching tempos and added basic FX from OP-Z? Either way thanks for the demo.. great videos as always... Im somewhat new to the OPz but have had POs for a minute...

Does line out work for sending audio into iphone while recording a video? I tried multiple camera adapters and none of them worked.. The op-1 field having the ability to just connect a usb to lighting cable is sick. Wish it was that easy with op-z and ko 2

When combining the OP-Z with the OP-1, is it possible to have the start/stop commands from the OP-Z trigger the OP-1's tape as well? Wondering if it's possible to basically sequence the OP-1 from the OP-Z, but still be able to record everything in sync with the OP-1's tempo/grid to tape.
@SONWU2 жыл бұрын
Hi! Yes, the two devices cane be easily run in sync to each other. Start/Stop commands are transmitted and received between them. You can even do that with a USB-C to USB mini cable.

Did you ever do a video with pedals in an fx loop through this module?
@SONWU11 ай бұрын
I think I did…but finding it, that may be difficult. But the official TE video had that in it for sure! Just keep in mind that the module track becomes the audio return track. So make sure the volume is up on that track and that the filter is open as well.
