You're right about the new MPC's, they do everything, which can be too much and is why I still use my old MPC 1000 and haven't upgraded. So I appreciate the comparison of the Tracker+ as a nod to the old school. And as someone who used to use trackers on my Atari ST this seems like the perfect mix for someone like myself.

Teenage Engineering has hands down the worst quality control. I had to return two op-1 fields, 3 op-z’s and 3 Ep-133’s. Such a joke.

TE doesn’t care about customers. My og op1 had some broken keys, First op1 field I ordered had a broken encoder, and it took 2 months to get a replacement that had a broken audio out! I’m thankful that the shop I got it from agreed to take the replacement back for good with full refound, because they understood that I didn’t like to wait another 2 months for another potentially faulty replacenent. So everyone considering buying this stuff: be aware that quality control and repair service is very very bad, and the higher the price, the worse it is in relation to the value.

I've been checking the thing out intensively for 3 weeks now and really wanted to keep it. Ultimately, I'm happy to get rid of the thing again and treat myself to a few other instruments for the money. The DAW can't be beat for real production, the thing can't do enough for live performances, and I don't travel so often that I need a hipster toy for entertainment. But the hype is remarkable.

Bummer that you got a bunk unit right out of the gate. Glad they're sending you a (hopefully) functional unit soon! They really need to up their QC, and probably their warranty policy as well. For a device that costs as much as a used car they aren't inspiring a ton of in folks confidence with a video like this out.

The arranger and song mode are solid imo. Simple but really useful in completing songs.

The compression and saturation sound great but the Fx imo could be better. They really should enhance the Fx though. The Components, Punch In Fx, and Brain, and Arps are really nice.

Oh man.... it's quite shocking to see this on such an expensive device! 😵🤯 1) Didn't they say the keyboard is "military grade" and tested for I don't know how many presses. 2) Don't they do any quality control? (not even on units sent to KZbinrs?) 🤔😵‍💫 At least it's an honest move... you see what you get, you get what you see! 😄 Not saying that all units are faulty (and so far I have been lucky with my TE devices) but it's stilp worrying and certainly not what you'd expect for such a pricy device...... Let's hope that this is an isolated case. It looks like a fun device but quality issues could be a deal-breaker, especially at this price range. Other than that, l'd hope for: - An Overbridge-style integration with DAWs - A customizable "resolution" setting for the rotary encoders (--> how much turns oit takes to.get from dry to wet and vice versa). Sometimes it may be useful to go in small increments but more often (epecially during live performances) one may need a more drastic effect. It would be nice if one could choose between high and low res mode as default value plus being able to access the other mode while holding shift! 🤞🤞🤞 PS: Would anyone know if it's possible to set the metronome to "off", as a default value, when powering up the unit? 🤔 Thanks and best regards! 🙂

Poor you 😩 not lucky…. I have to say (touching wood), that everything i’ve bought from TE was flawless with no bugs, including my XY… its a great device! You’ll have fun in a few weeks ;-)

Also I would really advise you to either play with your camera settings to get rid of flickering (50/60hz setting) or get a special lamp/bulb for video creators that has no such issue.

Mine gets delivered today and I’m hoping for no issues with it. Seriously, they better overnight you a replacement! A one day delay on this wouldn’t be as hard to accept. And even though you didn’t pay for it, having 20,000 people see their goodwill will go a long way.

Smells great! I received replacement for my XY which had one leg slight short. It’s 100% keeper, so I wanted it perfect. And it is! 😊 Mine can even play step n4 😂 Seriously mine works perfect and can’t let it off hands for a week. Solid. It’s next level OP-Z (I played from day one of release). (you can change sequencer resolution same as on OP-Z but I like pages better) Looking forward for your vid’s on it! Cheers
