i'm gonna add sheeps horn. resting borsta, sabo or rebecca nad go for game sounds good. especially borsa is annoying. top knot is better in terms of trigger or if you use it before your final turn, since it goves the card to the bottom deck, but you can't target sabo in saka or other blockers in different decks

I like running jean bart in my purple luffy deck in the case of not seeing Magellan that way on turn three I drop 9 drop and kinda spiral out of control I really love the deck

24:07 I do that irl too when I just can’t afford to swing 6k with leader. I get weird looks but it’s free and will work someday. Also reducing a blocker with saka leader for no reason. I’ve gotten plenty of people to block a swing they could’ve 1ked

Im having a lot of trouble trying to learn this deck, as well as purple in general. im use to playing so aggressively with decks like belo betty. do you have any advice on how i could fix that?

I might just be crazy, but I play Luffy like an aggro/combo deck most of the time. Belo Betty kinda feels a bit more like a more traditional aggro deck, but frankly it's more beatdown than rushdown. There's a big difference between applying pressure as often as possible as quickly as possible and just applying a very large amount of pressure all at once like how Betty does. So if you play Betty, you probably know that big swings are good at forcing cards to be used or obviously for making people take life. That's pretty much the entire way I play Luffy. You set up what you have to and anything extra you have goes to making the few swings you start off with count. Just force resources out of hand or if they take you just slam down law and make them drop cards anyways. If you can consistently pressure the hand while you set up your big plays, you'll normally do fine. Just keep in mind you don't have crazy pressure like Betty, so if you're swinging face too often you may actually give them too many cards to work with, especially if you don't have a law at the moment. Luffy gets out big cards faster than the opponent, so it's important to use that advantage to make sure your opponent isn't just swarming the board for free, especially since you take your own life. Just need to take out the real threats when necessary and take out the minor threats when possible without giving up too much pressure. Although if their hand is huge you can afford to not swing face sometimes if you wanna knock it down with law next turn or something

just gonna have to hope you get enough removal in your hand and can build board pressure before zoro starts rolling, magellan/paulie/kaido are what you need. Getting 6k blockers out can help take some pressure off as well. I usually try to save counter for my bodies on board since they’ll win you the game. Don’t go down to zero life. It is a tough matchup for purple luffy. When you say your opponent changed his deck to Zoro, was he running something else originally? Kind of scummy to swap decks into a more favorable matchup if you already announced you’d be playing a different deck, and swapping decks in competitive scenes usually isn’t allowed.. edit: going wide early with Ulti and Page one combo also isn’t a bad start, helps clear the little bodies they play

@@yato3172 On my LGS we run a couple of weekly leagues, we reached playoff of the newbie league and now we gotta play the finals, I used to play Kid Film and he did the same but we can play with whatever deck we want, I changed to Pluffy because I love the deck but he didn't know what deck to play on OP05 so he changed to Zoro just for the playoffs and now I'm in a position that no matter what deck of mine I use he has the advantage because the actual version of the deck is so fast if he doesn't brick and even if he does brick he can just wait until the end to play Luffy Rush
