this did kinda feel like a B/Y luffy not playing optimally or drawing what he needed. no 5c luffy is really rough for him, couldve easily gotten down to 0 life and controlled the rest of the game. and choosing to put a card back after playing the hiyori was weird too

That luffy playing sucked though ngl he saved his sabo with a flampe which could’ve got him to zero. While starving does work it doesn’t make it an auto win if the luffy playing can actually play the deck well

I think saying “Just starve the deck” also isn’t a good answer into eb01 and op07 as it introduces flampe which makes it very okay for us to not be starved and just gain more and even another good card (forgetting the name) where they can make by luffy into a tank by making their face up life become face down. I do think starving is important but you also need to expect a better luffy player to also…remember their hiyori so they can be playing characters from life from the get go. Like I don’t think that guy did that at all once and it’s a common way to not be starved in the deck

True but even against a good BY Luffy player this deck gasses itself out of resources especially if they don’t see any cards to deplete their life. I’ve played against people that have been on this deck for months and longevity is an inherent problem of the deck. Typical combo “glass cannon” type of play tbh

@@Painflacko I can confirm this. If the Luffy player doesn’t see enough life burning cards this deck almost does nothing. Been playing on OP07 and they usually get stuck on 1-2 life if you remove the 5c Luffy.

@@Painflacko yeah I mean if they brick they brick not much can be done there sadly. And yeah it for sure is a glass cannon type of deck where it’s constantly working or it’s not. Which I think is fine for a deck to be and we see that in op07 where it picks up wins and decent placing kind of often here and there in the east. I do think it is a deck that has such a high skill floor tho that just starve it is a good answer until it isn’t and yeah I do agree the deck can only Moira combo so often to keep itself alive so it does need to end a game sooner or later
