For realsies, one of the easiest to understand, most gangster 'op amp as a subtractor' tutorials out there. Might consider subscribing.

If you only want to subtract and not amplify, can you leave R1 out? Or should all resistors be the same? How can I know what value resisto

sorry the ques might draw you back a bit but how do we obtain output volatge when the input is assumed to be zero

internal imbalance... even though input voltages are assumed to be zero... offset is present in output
