Woke up one morning to blood on the bed sheets. My wife was 17 weeks pregnant at the time. We rushed to the hospital immediately expecting that she was experiencing a miscarriage. On the way, this song was playing on a random Spotify playlist. For obvious reasons the song resonated deeply with me in that moment. Ultimately everything ended up being ok. The bleed was caused by a subchorionic hematoma. My son is 4 months old today. Still think of that moment when I hear this song and it makes me so grateful for what I have.

Went to a music festival in rural Vermont in 2007. Friday afternoon, just getting started, people arriving, nobody on stage A or stage B. Just a young woman with a guitar in the tent, no stage.
