Opel Astra J OPC 2012 Nordschleife

2012 Opel Astra OPC lapping on Nordschleife Nurburgring during the car launch for the 10 luckiest persons of world media. Top Gear Russia's drive expert & VLN prize winner Dmitry Sokolov drives Astra OPC on Nordschleife with comments. It was not allowed to set the correct hot tyre pressure because of the group event, so, the pressure was highly over the limit: the car could be 10 or more seconds quicker with correct tyre pressure. By the way, even in this condition the New Opel Astra OPC is quicker than the factory record for Mazda 3 MPS, for example. New Opel is really fast

Thanks! Exactly the rezult i wrote in the end of the movie as possible laptime for the car with correct tyre pressure. I was thinking (& wrote it) i can go faster 10-15 seconds with correct tyre pressure. It's exactly 8:18 - 8:23 ;) Just because have some experience on the Nurburgring in race conditions with telemetry & working with every corner, sector & lap

5 years ago the regular Corsa OPC Manuel Reuter RECORDI 8.47 and it was not even in the top Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition, the first Corsa OPC. We do not even know that time flies Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition, and we do not know what the time was driving the Astra OPC Nürburgring Edition j.

It's just question of words - not car. When you'r young, every car is bomb for you. If you'r experienced driver - every car is just one more car. Some differences, but still differences of similar things: you can drive with confidence & pleasure everyone of them. PS really for track is only race cars with race roll cage, suspension, tires,seats & gearbox

Yes, i drove it, but not on the Ring. For my taste it's complete different cars: like Subaru STI & Mitsu Evo.Megane is much faster, more precise & more efficient on track. Opel is more comfortable, little bit heavy & more expensive in emotional side. It sounds and rides better on the normal road, but it's slower on track. Megane have absolutely the best suspension & the best brakes for track on the market in now days. Very different cars for different way of driving, but with similar digits))

very many negative situations that race but pretty reasonable amount of time. Manuel Reuter around and wait for you to properly prepare for a race vehicle and the right weather and driving conditions, and the best of the best fighting condition, the Astra OPC lighter, faster version of the Astra OPC Race to Base

with all mistakes such as tire pressure ,airco on, and some more i think will be very close or better time then megane. (no idea why drive with airco on ,it gives 20% less power)
