I held 115mph on my '72 for over an hour flying across Wyoming in 2000. She's still in my garage, with a new motor about to go in. Love that car.

My father bought me an Opel GT in 1972. I loved it and thankful. The license plate was FUB(Free University Berlin) 98. I don't remember the remaining number. But I enjoyed my Opel GT.

When i was growing up my best friend had a 74 it never ran with its stock engine so his dad told us take a 289 out of a unfortunate t boned early 60's mustang and the match trans. We swapped and fabricated with a lot of help from his dad when it was all done he went on a drive when he came back pale and laughing hysterically, he pulled the distributor out and told you will never drive it as it sits!

There's a guy with an insanely powerdul Chevy small block in an Opel GT running circles around other drag racers at our local track that has people clamori4foe these cars because they're so small, and they look great, too..

This could of benefited from a small displacement V8. Nothing crazy, something like a 350 Sbc destroked to 5L.
