Hi Jelle, nice to find your chanell. here in Brazil the kadett C was sold as Chevrolet Chevette ( fun fact here he was released in 1973 an in Europe only a year later ) and he was alongside the VW Beetle one of the most popular cars of all times, he was sold from 1973 to 1993 having 2 facelifts in his history, the first one in 1979, that is my favorite one cause it looks like a tiny pontiac, and the second one in 83 with made it look like the Opel Ascona C, im restoring a 1986 model, mine is already street legal and i use it everyday, beeing sold for 20 years theres thousands of parts laying around for a really good price, it is my only car, and i use it everyday with no problem. -sorry for my bad grammar, English is my second lenguage!

Yes the kadett is a worldwide model indeed, but only a Opel in europe😅. Funny how that works. It was a very popular car here aswell, i believe there were somewhere arround 2 milion made of this model. And parts are indeed very cheap, cause the chassis always rotted away while technical they don't go bad. My complete engine was only 50 euro's. But that's also what keeps it funny, a not too expensive yet fun hobby car for a European. Worth spendong time on in my opinion.

Thanks for your comment by the way, the reason i post these projects is because everybody in the world relates differently to them. And i also enjoy watching how things are done on the otherside of the world 😃.

Hello, Jelly. I am George from Jordan. I want to ask you. I have an Opel Kadett like this one you have, but there is no motor. I want to replace it with a motor other than the Opel.

What do you suggest to us other motor other than Opel and thank you and please reply

Hello George, Idk what would work, but since there is plenty of space i think you got a wide choice of stuff that would fit.

Nice Job man! Are your windshield heater vents still intact? I know someone who makes these nowadays, since they are always broken ^^

The windshield heater vents are perfect. They are no issue with this one. The rusting is the worst issue in these old opels🤣
