OPEL ROCKS - E | Review and Test drive (75 KMH top speed)

Join me in this video on some test driving of different sorts with the Opel Rocks - E, the electric quadcycle from Opel, also known as Citroes Amy.
I went into details of the car, features and annoying things, managed to way pass the limited speed from the factory, and also had some fun with it....with some minor adjustments.

Fully Charged, for the first 6 miles/10 kilometres, the regen braking isn't applied down hill.

Hiding behind a rubbish cart, good marketing lol 😅😅 says it all really. It's kin awful. But might be a good for invalid people especially in winter in eastern and northern Europe. . ps the high tec green loop for opening the door , hilarious 😂😂😂😂 split side window good for drive through pick up at macky Ds , only trouble is the fixed top of window you will have to scream at the top of your voice for them to hear your order . Hand brake very phallic 😅😅if I see one by the side of road and no one is about I will push it over on its side , it will look better 😂😂😂. bet you won't buy one

:) I havent tuned it, I just bypassed the electric motor, and I can switch it out of gear when I go downhill. The motor won`t brake the car anymore.

@@user02161 No. unfolrtunately no settings to unlock. Just pinch the brake realy quick and at the same time get it out of gear, to neutral, and you just roll down the hill. And hang on tight to that steering wheel, because it gets realy scketchy :)

A major flaw in the concept for city people living in an apartment in an area with winther season, is that it can not be charged below 0°C. Also it should put out more power up hill to keep up.

Don't worry about charging , just keep a pack of triple A batteries on the dash

you think so?...I tried going down from a mountain pass, quite a few km going down, in gear, and it did not add any km, not even hold it a bit constant, the range was going down just about at the rate that i`ve done the km.

Why are you making fun of the ingenious car design which in fact makes it so cheap? Strange, just buy a Merc and FO if you are into it like that. The range is very low though. Edit: I saw at the end you were more positive so take my comment with a grain of salt.

I didn`t tune it, just set it to neutral by pressing the brake fast and quick, while at the same time switching to neutral. Some cars let you switch to neutral without touchng the brake, some don`t. And fown the hill you go, just be carefull, its quite scetchy at over 65 Kmh, it starting to shake apart.

@@huseyinrammo6923 Unfortunately no, the motor just does not have to much power. It could teoretically go until around 60 if you find a way to unlock it. The theory is if you can misslead the motor into thinking it goes with a slower speed then it actualy does, it could work, for an extra 20 kmh. That`s how they do it at bicycle motors at least.

@@huseyinrammo6923 i don't know exactly. You have to find out first what kind of motor is exactly, find out where it has its speed sensor and then try to overpass that sensor somehow.

Ich kommentiere mal auf Deutsch: 1. Es ist nicht erlaubt, dieses E-Fahrzeug mit 45 Km/h auf 75 Km/h anzuheben. Damit erlischt die ABE! 2. Die Bremsen und alle anderen Bauteile, sind auf diese 45 Km/h ausgelegt. 3. Bei einer Geschwindigkeitskontrolle mit Laserpistole, fällt dieses Fahrzeug auf. 4. Man ist versucht, mit so einem Fahrzeug mit dieser Geschwindigkeit, auf eine Kraftfahrstrasse (wo 4 Fahrspuren mit Mittelleitplanke sind) zu fahren. 5. Eine solche Geschwindigkeit, geht auf die Batterie und damit auf die Reichweite. Besser, man investiert für eine gute Heizung mit Zusatzbatterie (die beim Laden der Fahrzeugbatterie mit geladen wird), Sitzheizung und Rostvorsorge an den tragenden Teilen!

So wie ich es verstehe wurden an dem Fahrzeug von "Automotive Passion" keine Änderungen vorgenommen um die Geschwindigkeit auf 75km/h anzuheben. Er nimmt beim Bergabfahren lediglich den Gang raus, so dass der Opel, wie eine Seifenkiste, bergab rollt. Bei 75km/h ist diese "Seifenkiste" dann aber sicherlich nicht mehr besonders sicher zu bewegen. Unabhängig davon bin ich der Meinung, dass der Gesetzgeber in dieser Fahrzeugklasse 55 oder 60 km/h Höchstgeschwindigkeit zulassen sollte. Dies könnte viel dazu beitragen solche kleinen umweltfreundlichen Fahrzeuge zu etablieren. Mit 45km/h stellen sie für sich selber und alle anderen ein Gefahr da, weil kritischen Überholmanöver vorprogrammiert sind...

@@hoffmannfrohmut8001 Du sagst es. Gang raus also auf Neutral gestellt. Sollte man aber erwähnen und nicht so rüberkommen, dass man generell den E-Rocks auf 75 Km/h bringen kann, indem man den elektronischen Begrenzer rausnimmt...
