OMG!! YOU SAVED MY LIFE!! My mom was so upset and we thought I had destroyed her nutribullet. We could not get the lid off to save our lives. We tried rubber bands, running under hot tap water...under cold tap water....spoons, knives...nothing worked. When we first did this it didn't work either and I was nervous because it was my last resort...but turned out it just had to boil a little bit longer and then it came off SO easily!! And it's still working great and my mom made a breakfast smoothie this morning so all's well. THANK YOU! You are a lifesaver!!!

Worked a treat! I have gotten my nutrabullet lid stuck several times before and have eventually found the strength to open it. After twenty or so attempts to open my nutrabullet over a 1 hour period - I came across this KZbin clip and it worked! Yay, I can finally have my smoothie. Thanks for sharing!

I was really scared to try this because I read some of the comments about smoothie explosions. Also my blender is 100% plastic and rubber except for the blade. I tried this 6 times and almost gave up. I even cried over it, worried I'll be scolded in the morning. I left it in for 30 seconds the first 5 attempts hiding behind a wall. The final attempt I tried 40 seconds in the boiling water. I pulled it out, it took a few aggressive twist before I could secessfully open it up. Thank you so much you saved me !

I just had a similar problem with my Nutribullet. I was just about to try this method but the cause of mine was slightly different. I was making a vindaloo curry paste and hadn't completely cooled down some fried onions (I won't be doing that again). What worked for me was putting the jar in the freezer for 15 mins.

😁I got a refund...💡As of 2017 I decided I’m not leaving any money on the table or trash any more! I’m holding these companies accountable. They want our money, they need to make good products (and provide good services too) or they’re getting it back. Yep, I marched myself right in there after I left the office. I was very polite, respect but clear, firm & direct about my disappoint. They gave my money back (from most a year ago, I have learned to save receipts) the manager couldn’t even open it. He apologized and gave me a free one for good measure!! I’m afraid to say which national big box retailer it is but I love how they stand behind any product they sell. I’m even holding the grocery stores accountable. If it’s junk or horrible or doesn’t live up to it’s claims, I’m taking it back. They listen when we speak with our buying power and dollar! Otherwise it’s like walking up to the trash and throwing in $100 (or what ever the amount) I don’t care if it’s $1, I’m speaking up and no longer settling for crap and terrible quality assurance. 😁
