Open Air Market on Mahe Seychelles - Best Grilled Fish!

We found this open-air market on the northwest side of Mahe when we were in Seychelles. The food was amazing, Octopus curry, fresh grilled fish, and a lot more. We also were told that these food stalls are inspected and home kitchens there are also inspected. (We were told this in 2016)

This was filmed on an old Sony Handycam, the only video equipment we had at the time.
You will also see that prices for items vary, from 150 to 300 rupees for the same red coral necklaces. The people are very friendly and we felt safe everywhere we went.
The roads are very narrow, see our other video about driving the Coast Road, Combine narrow roads, sharp drop offs on the edges, people walking on the roads, plus driving on the left side of the road, and it can make for an interesting experience.

Hi, Approximate Location maps.app.goo.gl/fb4tV7BW6cDH3GxT7 as of 2023 it is still there in google street view. Northwest side of Mahe, just north of Beau Vallon Street Shopping. You could also park near The Boat House and walk down the path by the beach to it. If you go let us know if it is still there and if you enjoyed it.

1:30 inexpensive. well, could you tell how much this fish costs?

We do not remember the cost, but we do remember that it was very inexpensive. This was in 2016, so the cost would be different now. We have found that if you find something like this almost anywhere you travel, it is more authentic and much less than in restaurants. Sorry, we can not give you an exact number. We were there to get married and vacation, we did not start our KZbin channel until 4 years later during the pandemic when we had time and decided to document our travels. Little did we know how much travel would change at that point. Before that, we were in a different country every other month and missed the opportunity to document those trips with video, mostly still images as I have been mostly a still photographer my whole life.
