I've got 9 ku fixed and 6 cband fixed. All works good. Got them fixed in but I'm trying to figure out the reciever. I've bought some used pansat reciever. Found out they were not dvbs-2 capable. What kinda inexpensive reciever do you recommend.

yeah, I learned long ago to always wait some period of time (weeks or months) before applying updates, does not matter what kind of device or software. Always wait, unless of course you are one of those types that loves being on the bleeding edge of things and loves trying to figure out how to get your system working again. :)

I am interested in the Hobby I don't know anybody in it in Canada! Someday I may get my ticket. But I have been Busy with work Family and other things. @@RobbieStrike You should try using your SDR for picking up Slow Scan TV. In Linux you need to look up a program called QSSTV. A couple of the frequencies used are 14.230 Mhz for analog and 14.233 Mhz for digital, both on upper sideband. If you wish you can see what pictures you can receive. Usually there are groups of hams that congregate there and send pictures, gifs, ect. to one another. They will usually announce that they will be sending an image before they do. You may need to take the speaker output and feed it back into the the mic input of your soundcard so the QSST program can convert the image. I hope you can try it out sometime. :)

How do I scan 113wa/c liken channels. I get all the channels except TV and those channels I have a koqti k1 reciever. It's a cheap reciever

Yes I need to get a globe and try to explain that to people they still don't understand that. Because Asia is at the other side of the planet most of the North American satellites we can't receive and also the Asian salads we can't receive here in North America cuz it's the other side of the plant
