Ok so I just read the Red Queen series. You should 100% read the ENTIRE series. BUT the second book is really hard to get through. Just a lot of world building and stuff like that. It also has some of that in the last two just not as much. It’s so worth it though. It’s a great series.

If you want another book where one of the characters has a taboo job, i'd recommended 'The Intimacy Experiment' - it was one of my fave books last year and i'm not even a romance girly 😂 the characters had such amazing chemistry and the plot itself was so unique!

The Exterminating Manuscript by Gema Clouds is AMAZING TOO, A group of young folks decides to make their first vacation in the last year of college school, but they need money so resolve to simulate a kidnap. A fantastic modern unique epic tale.

For a road trip contemporary YA book with romance, I recommend Amy and Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson. I read the 1st two Red Queen books this year and really enjoyed them. Will read the others soon. And I can't wait for you to finish the Shadow and Bone trilogy!

I'm reading Six Crimson Cranes right now Elizabeth Lim is one of my favorite authors. Six Crimson Cranes is a prequel to The Blood Of Stars Duology. And I don't know if you are looking for recommendations for summer mystery reads but I recommend Evil Under The Sun and Death On The Nile by Agatha Christie

Hi, Ali! So I went to hpb today and I got two books for 12 dollars, good deal ig. But I just wanted to hear other people’s ratings on them(and maybe yours?). Let me tell you what I got, I got “The cousins” by Karen M. McManus and “Inheritance games” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Can anyone lmk the ratings for these? Thank you! Edit: ok, so I finished “the cousins” it was okay, i would give it a 3.5 stars, anyways I’m currently reading “the inheritance games” and omg it’s so goodddddd. I already ordered the second book bc the first one is already so good. I also LOVE the romance that is just barely there, but is just so obvious.
