Yes. I have done it for years but the issue is to get the thick copper cable from the solar panel on the roof top outside to the battery via charge controller which must be kept inside the vehicle .

Perimeter alarm trip wire is used by some campers in grizzly habitats, North America. It’s just an “early warning” system. If that tent had a rear zipper one can open the vehicle door into the tent and get into the vehicle if god forbid there is a situation. Ofcourse one has to be awake and in escape mode for a happy ending ! Good to see solo camping again.

Bhai ek Andaman ka banda hai jisko same GC ka issue tha but by upgrading to tyres with larger side profile plus some modifications to the scruff plate underneath he has managed to raise the GC to 235. KZbin pe hi video dekha tha, will post the link if I am able to search for the video. With some luck you may be able to locate too :)

Open camping in tents is very dangerous. Bear and leopard can attack you easily. Attack by bear is very dangerous. It doesn't kill it's pray before eating like leopard etc. It starts eating your delicate parts like belly while you are live and you are watching live, but you can not do anything. My suggestion is that you must prefer roof tent, as you were using it on rooftop of your That. Be safe and secure.

How do you plan to use this setup in snow areas? Yeh neeche waala part snow par baithaaoge kaise aap? Like in places you could park your car anywhere and open the roof top tent but now you need space and everything. Does that mean you will have to sleep inside the car itself?
