[Open DMQA Seminar] Cost Effective Methods for Instance Segmentation

Image Segmentation은 이미지 속 객체를 정확히 구분해내고 분할해내는 방법론이다. 픽셀 수준으로 이미지를 이해하고 내포하고 있는 특징들을 추출하여 새로운 의미를 찾아낼 수 있기 때문에 산업 전반에 걸쳐 많은 수요가 있다. 그간의 많은 발전 덕분에 픽셀 단위의 정답을 활용한 지도학습 방법론으로 굉장히 높은 수준의 분할 성능을 낼 수 있다. 하지만 실제 현장에서 발생하는 다양한 문제 상황에 대응하기 위한 충분한 정답 데이터를 갖추는 것은 불가능하다. 이에 따라 정답 데이터를 구축하는데 드는 비용을 최소화 하면서도 성능을 향상 시키는 분할 방법론이 연구되고 있다. 본 세미나에서는 비지도학습, 약지도학습을 활용한 객체 분할 방법론에 대한 최신 연구들에 대해 살펴본다.
