1968 Cutlass Supreme Olds 455.
in this video we fire the cutlass up to move it out of my garage.
the beginning scenes, the car still has the thrush welded mufflers dumped under the floor pans but in the end it goes full open headers

I like to see the interest continue with guys like you! I had 3 68s, my first in 1976 I purchased after my Gremlin was thankfully T Boned! $750. This led to a lifelong appreciation and ties to the Olds. Don't you love the spaced headlights? See them behind coming up at warp speed is epic! Your Engine sounds wonderful.

Thanks man you should check the car out in more recent videos now that it has a full exhaust on it. Lol gremlin is probably the only AMC I kind of like. I always preferred the 69 nose clip but over the years the 68 has grown on me, it kind of looks psychotic or deranged. That and after having a 59 Olds convertible, the front end looks like an updated version of the 59.

Had a '68, 400, auto, put headers on, no muffflers, cruised the downtown neighborhood where I lived in Modesto, Ca. circa 1975. Rattled windows. I had forgotten about needing to keep you foot in it so it would not stall.

I once owned one of those cars. But it was a 1967 and it had engine problems and I got rid of it. Wrong idea! I know that now but I got a 1967 f-85 Cutlass deluxe coup later on. And I got married and the 4 kids enjoyed the growing up years in that. And I gave it to my youngest son. Who has totally restored it, and with the factory color paint and made several additional upgrades to it like disc brakes all the way around and new wiring and the engine was a regular 455, but it's been bored out and has electric fuel injection carburetor on it and it makes 700 hrs pwr it's got so much more to add to the comments brand new factory carpet and interior and newly upholstered seats . A two speed is only good for a lightweight car. A 3 speed is the way to go

Look up max hassle on Google, according to the protecto plate, his brother Calvin bought the car new, the address comes back to the max hassle mansion as well.

Glad to hear and glad you liked the show. The car was originally that dark GM Forrest green. It's not really a 442, it's a cutlass supreme.

@@kevinmanning4880 ya know, I always forget that I influence people to a degree on here and it feels good that I can help give people motivation. 70 GTO, first car I ever rode in. My parents took me home from the hospital in one.

@@UsefulEntertainment very cool, my parents took me home on the bus. They couldn't afford a car when they got married. My mom pushed me in the carriage with other moms as we went by the AMC dealership. Eventually she worked out a deal on the Sales Manager's demo car. My parents bought a brand new less demo miles, 1968 Rebel, now we could visit Grandpa and Grandma at the farm.
