This is a complete disassembly of a V15 Detect . This video is extremely long and you will need to watch the other 2 videos on my channel to help you understand how to remove the connector

Thanks for the helpful video. One can separate the housing piece that contains the particle flow sensor from the gold piece that has the cyclones without creating a 4-sided prying tool to remove the power connector (29:38) - you simply have to remove the sensor board (which, as you've shown, requires pulling the two tiny connectors to the very thin electronics wires) then, pull the white + black power cord with the fat white rubberized wad through the housing and get it past the little thin electronics wires. Once it's past them you can get it to feed past the final bottom hole at the base and the big housing piece holding the particle sensor comes free of the gold cyclonic piece. The black & white power cord with the fat white rubberized wad simply stays connected to the clear plastic connector that would require a 4-sided prying tool to remove. I had to separate these two pieces in order to clean mold and mildew from every inner part of the unit, so I had to figure out this method.

Nice breakdown of this system. I have to wonder why they make that connector (that made you break all your chopsticks) such a sticking point, like 'we don't want you doing this' connector. The rest of it is quite simple.

After aligning red gasket and retaining ring, the ring snaps into place but is not very tight. Pushing the tube back over the body pops the red gasket and retaining ring out of its holder. This happened before i disassembled it, which is why i turned to your (excellent) video in the first place. Is there a way to hold the retaining ring tighter?

This is a very good teardown video, especially that so many other videos, together with the manufacturer themselves is suggesting just rinsing the transparent container and back filter with water is enough. It isn't, after 1 year I took almost a full pound of dirt from every single space found inside the case. Honestly, it makes me sad to think the most expensive vacuum on the market is actually so poorly designed when comes to internal integrity of those parts and the shady design decisions like this connector that they clearly changed vs the V12/12 models just to fuck with me trying to clean my own device. The only thing I would add to the video is that this last place that you could not get into because of the lack of prying tool can be cleaned to a satisfying degree with pressurised air - I used a hairdryer, but a can of laptop cleaning air should do the trick just as well. Plus it is a cleaner video when you disassemble a clean one, but using an actual used, dirty one would help illustrate the actual issue at hand to people who have not yet tried to look inside theirs
