How do you love rap when rap doesn’t love you back? From Rico Nasty’s harassment from toxic Carti fans, to Saucy Santana's unapologetically femme aesthetics in a queerphobic industry, to the assault case that put Megan Thee Stallion’s entire image on trial, each episode of Louder Than A Riot - the second season of our investigative hip-hop podcast - unpacks the unspoken rules of rap that hold the entire culture back. Tap in to our first episode at n.pr/louder-season-2.

if you want a funnier album, dark comedy or hella personal film festival is the place the start (personally i think HPFF sounds better), but I do think his. new album Brick Body Kids Still Daydream is his best (though a bit more serious). Just check them all out :)

I'm in love with Mike's music. His lyricism is great on so many levels and his singing is lovely. Even though he doesn't have like a perfect singing voice live, the softer album versions have something very comforting about them. It's like your dad is singing you to sleep. :)))

thanks for turning me on to more great music, npr tiny desk concert's are the best, I've got three favorite channels on KZbin, npr tiny desk concert, amoeba what's in my bag and the av club channel, watching these three channel's has turned me on to so much great music I may not have heard if it wasn't for you guy's, I'm just a lonely country boy without many friends and without access to many music stores, we have a Wal Mart nearby lol but that's about it, music is what keeps me going, I'm saving up for a bass guitar and I'm constantly writing lyrics and am hoping to start a band soon, I'm 41 year's old and ever since I was a little boy it's been my dream to start a band but severe depression and drug addiction kind of ruined my dreams but I'm not giving up on my dreams yet, actually music and movies is what keeps me going, art in general is what keeps me going, the one thing I really want to do before I die is make a really good movie with a really good soundtrack, I've been writing a screenplay for year's, when I finally get that bass guitar and start putting music to my lyrics I know my dreams are really gonna start to come to life, I know it's kind of ass backwards to write lyrics first but as of now I don't know how to play a instrument but I'm hoping to change that soon, I don't have much encouragement in my life, most people have written me off for a worthless joke but I'm gonna show them all I'm not, we all have a story to tell, that's the beautiful thing about art, especially music and cinema, art is the expression of the soul and when you share it with the world it can be such a beautiful thing, maybe one day when I bring my dreams to life you'll invite me to npr so I can share my story with the world, thanks for creating this channel my friends, thanks for inspiring me💜

Mike album was really good like one of the best rap albums of last year it would've been on higher on my list if it wasn't for Kendrick, Cyhi and Vince Staples. Open Mike still had a really good project and I will check his next body of work because Brick Body Kids Still Daydream was really dope and the concept with him speaking from the perspective of the building he grew up in was excellent and the last track about his auntie building collapsing was very intense easily the best track on the album.
