Fitzroy treated him very poorly after a lifetime of loyal service in the name of economic rationalism. Unfortunately football has become a business and nothing more. Integrity, moral values, loyalty and passion have thus become almost irrelevant. A microcosm of society as a whole. I watch only 1980's and 1990's footy nowadays to transport myself back nostalgically to a better world all round.
