Parts arrived, working flawlessly. Now I need to make it look nice on a case :) Thanks man! i ordered the mini and the 1.69 display. Both works fine. I will use the mini to use the MIDI DIN connection. And the 1.69 Display to use the Tonex One as "all in one pedalborad" with the m-vave chocolate

it would be great to change the background color, matching the tone X. I think colors are a great indicator on stage and easier to see, than to read the title. I'll give this a go next week, Thank you for your hard work!

Hi Greg, can you post a photo of the wiring for the Waveshare, and if time permits a video of the set up.i can see the video for the larger screen version and wanted to check if it was the same procedure. Let me start by saying this is amazing work. A few questions though. Does this just do preset switching, or could you do other useful things like switch FX blocks on and off as well? Things like reverb or chorus or compression? Or even add an expression pedal? That would be epic.
@gregsmith152618 күн бұрын
@@justinochoa7581 not sure on effect switching. I spent time today investigating this area. Have found some interesting things but don't want to overpromise anything
@justinochoa758118 күн бұрын
@gregsmith1526 Obviously those midi commands are available to change in the Full Tonex Pedal version, and they are available through the computer interface, but I am unsure how that would translate to the Tonex One and your adhoc solution. Keep up the good work. I would be happy to pay a modest fee for functionality of this nature and am sure others would too.

I have identified that all of the parameters (e.g. reverb, delay, chorus, noise gate etc etc) are sent from the Tonex pedal to the controller already. I have identified a lot of where they are located. I don't know yet whether I can modify them, but I think it should be possible. Fun holiday project for me ;)

Greg! Amazing work!! I ordered the parts and am working on a 3d model. Is there a foot switch and midi option for this specific display?
@gregsmith152628 күн бұрын
Thank you. I have the dual wired footswitch pins documented on Github. Midi is available in V1.0.4.1., I just need to update the documentation, which I will do soon
@gregsmith152628 күн бұрын
All wiring diagrams are available now. For wired Midi, make sure you use V1.0.4.1, and also enable Midi in the WiFi config page. It's disabled by default

I see this could be a great addition into a Pedalboard but as most of us would use a pedal power supply such as a cioks or similar they output min 9v so this implementation would require a separate power supply at 5v. Would the 5v board provide enough power to the tonex one when connected to a power amp
@gregsmith152627 күн бұрын
The Waveshare boards can all power the Tonex One via USB. Connecting the Tonex to a power amp doesn't changes it power draw. I know of one user who added a low cost voltage regulator, that converted 9v to 5v. Something like this: www.amazon.com.au/tunghey-Converter-Adjustable-Transformer-Stabilizer/dp/B0D5VBMF1F If this is of interest, I have a heap of similar modules here that I could evaluate and document.
@mbadge247726 күн бұрын
@gregsmith1526 thanks I only ask about the output as in use a quad cortex which quite happily powered with a mission engineer usb to 12v adapter but even thru it worked fine thru headphones it didn't push out enough volume to my power amp.

Hi Greg. How can I change the names of the presets that are displayed on the screen?

Hi again. You have a strange sound, so I guess you have this 1.69" board. Please use the release here: github.com/Builty/TonexOneController/tree/main/Releases/V1.0.4.1 Use the file "TonexOneController_V1.0.4.1_RC_Waveshare_169.zip".
