When I saw the journals my first impression was that I would watch but I never thought that I could make this. After watching your instructions I am confident that I can do it! Thank you. My daughter is getting married and I had already made signatures to put on the tables for people to write things in about the couple at any stage of their lives. I will collect them up and make a journal. This binding is perfect for what I want to do! You are a real gem!

The planning and the thought that must have gone into this video is nothing short of AMAZING, not to mention the editing! All those thoughtful details and variations, like the balance added by the ruffles - and then, to throw in those last minute pockets that just made it perfect. I just had to check the time, because that did not feel like an hour! These journals are so beautiful, and I love the way they open flat. As a beginner, I think I'd have to work up to this, but I do feel like I could make a scrappier version of this type of binding now, and have some fun with the spine - maybe with smaller holes to make the binding easier for me. Thank you.

Also in finishing carpentry, a perfect miter cut does not ever require caulking ,(Handy men use caulking, a professional does not.) Creating with wood or fabric or paper all use miter cuts.

I have the hardest time putting covers on my signatures. It's a final step and completes the project - but it's also so frustrating trying to keep everything straight. This is very helpful and I look forward to trying this on one of my signature sets that's without a cover.
