An example problem in the "Steady Flow Devices" series.
A thin-double-pipe counter-flow heat exchanger is used to cool oil from 150°C to 40°C at a rate of 2 kg⁄s by water that enters at 22°C at a rate of 1.5 kg⁄s. Determine the rate of heat transfer within the heat exchanger and the exit temperature of the water.

what if instead of water we use r22 and instead of oil we use water .how can we calculate tr for evaporator ?or the length and number of copper tubes for specified tr like 20 ton evaporator
