I've tried the bungees with my tarp, but after a few camps, I've gone back to the simple ridge line and two knots! I found it more secure, lighter to carry and simple to use! I've also used my DD Jungle hammock as a bug netted bivvi. It's very easy to set up and is a great idea when bugs are about. Thanks for the video.
@CampLifeBushcraft3 жыл бұрын
I quite liked the simplicity of the bungees but at the same time I enjoy knots so I’ll probably change it up depending on mood. Lee’s bug proof ground hammock was a stroke of genius I thought. My open tarp not so much 🙄 went home covered in bites.

Dan👍👍🏕 Another great camp in the woods, bugs not withstanding. Look up to see if any widow makers around, then look down to see if any bugs on the ground...Fire and meal looked amazing, chasing it with brew and more is obligatory. You might feel the effects of the camp for a short while but the memory will last much longer.. Great video, well filmed as always, thanks. Enjoy!

Dan- they were probably Citronella (like 'Self-Law' suggests). Geranium, mint & lavender are good UK native insect repellents, just rub them on skin or clothing. I've had to re- jiggle some parcel content (more on that later😞). Good camp though🏕🤠👍. Lee's set up was pretty inventive.
