Totally agree with ya on the trails buddy, if a trapper don't the hunters fishermen won't. Nice catches buddy thanks for taking us along. Cheers

i can tell by the movement of the bow of your canoe and the sound of your paddle strokes that you know the correct way to paddle a canoe.

Nice canoe ride and a bonus at the end of the paddle. You seemed surprised of snapped 330 ,you didnt spend any time evaluating how it got snapped. This past fall i had 57 330 out and had 6 snapped traps ,i still wonder if the beaver comes in tail first trying to eliminate scent from mound? Any thoughts?

I have caught plenty of beaver in very weird catches, sometimes they try to go over the trap and set it off that way resulting in a clear miss. Hence the reason I always have 10 feet of cable with a swivel. I showed that miss because I am not perfect and have my share of misses. Real life without just the high-lights.

You 're right about that Jim, when you cut the trails for yourself to use, every bag licker will use it. I am a trapper too They will run over my wolf snares. that pisses me off

It's the garbage that follows that drives me crazy, I probably pickup as many beer cans and pop cans and Tim Horton coffee cups as I do fur. Never understood this mindset.

@Gibb's Adventures very cool! We have a cottage near Shinning Tree now and my grandparents used to own and operate Houston Lake Camp between gowganda and Shinning Tree. I use to spend my summers with them up there(loosely use the term working lol). I still spend as much time as I can there at our cottage. Once the north is in your blood you have to have it.

I could have used a better word, the lack of respect for the bush gets my goat. The garbage that follows is one thing that really gets me going. Except for my trails nobody would know I have been there for 40 years.

@@gibbsadventures12 I think the word is perfect. We were just saying the other day it is amazing how many cans we have to pick up everytime we go out from others just tossing them out as they go fishing or hunting.
