Chronicling the experiences of three people as they come for their own ritual immersions, this documentary film celebrates the principle of petichut, Hebrew for "openness" and "inclusivity", by making mikveh accessible for everyone.
Produced and directed by Jen Kaplan.
This film is part of a collection of resources for organizations to make accessible spaces and raise awareness about inclusion in the Jewish community.

What a blessing this place is for all Jews. I wish you had something similar here in South Africa.

Man, if I had some money, I've decided I'd like to donate it so I can build a mikvah that will be open to ALL Jews, regardless of observance level, in my area.

Madalyn S. Thanks for that. I had no idea. I went with my friend in Israel, the night before her wedding. It was beautiful and so full of meaning. She and her sisters all laughed and danced afterwards. It was a privilege for me to be invited. 🇨🇦

No it's not. Giving that In christianity baptism is done only once. however going into the mikveh is regular, weekly or monthly depending on how observant the jew is. Although the idea behind it is similar - that is, purification
