wouldve been fire if the character had a journal called "Grandpa's Fisherman guide" that has a short summary of grandpas accomplishments that you can meet in game, but also walks you through the game mechanics with a tutorial section and a "my own accomplishments" section. Wouldve been much more interesting than some omnipotent being than can see your every move

People nowadays criticize everything. Take reviews with a grain of salt. This game is getting constant updates and it's pretty good.

Can you lean forward with a fish on and reel? Then lean back to drag them in closer? It looks like when the pole/rod is yanked back the whole time that the tension meter maxes quickly especially when you’re reeling in. If possible, try reeling in when you lean forward and then pulling the rod back without reeling to drag them in closer if it lets you. It appears that’s another way to land them. (At least that’s the way you do it irl.) : )

You would be better not holding rod vertical when reeling in, puts too much stress on line. Game looks ok.

Just when we were about to see if open world fishing actually works, player gets distracted by dinosaur bones and starts driving around for random points of interest, failing to show the fishing mechanic after tutorials. To me free fishing in this game doesn't exist at the moment. Only at very specific spots can fish, which is a dealbreaker. Please show fishing in a fishing game. x)

Sim games also offer way to do things people can't normally do in the real world. For ex Vpx which is pinball sim, pinball machine are pricy, why by a machine when you can play for free
