Absolutely gorgeous! I can only imagine how breathtaking the grounds are once spring rolls around. I am absolutely bowled over that homes like this still exist in Toronto. I hope it has been designated a historical home so that it can't be demolished and replaced with 6 McMansions.

Now THIS is a home! Warm, inviting, cozy spaces, warm wood, nice alcoves, POTTING ROOM!! (This is not one of those super modern, cold, contemporary houses that feel like high end, or sometimes low end Hotels.)

I looked at this house with a client in the mid 80's . The inside was a time capsule from the 1930's ,it was unoccupied but still furnished . We figured it would take $ 200 K to bring it up to date , I'm very glad that the house was not destroyed inside .

"ABSOLUTE CLASS". Quality pre-war home design, with all of the modern upgrades. The outdoor stone work and hard surfaces could use some extensive power washing.

4 Bd, 4 Bath, 5000 sq ft home sold for $3,425,000 in 2015 - with soaring houses prices in Ontario in 2022, this home is probably worth double the price - this is close to where I live - very beautiful but too bad the kitchen is so small - Cheers
@chrisgraham29042 жыл бұрын
If that's the price in "The Beaches", it's an amazing deal.
@MSGC552 жыл бұрын
@@chrisgraham2904 Yes, maybe a great price then, but would you pay double the price in today's market if you had the means - they could have made that kitchen spectacular by extending the kitchen to the useless room next to the kitchen and moving the washer/dryer to the 2nd floor - then it would have been grand indeed - the grounds are truly spectacular but would have been even more amazing if all the stonework around the pool and down the elegant outdoor staircase would have been pressure washed - just my 2 cents worth, haha - Cheers 😊
@chrisgraham29042 жыл бұрын
@@MSGC55 So right. I mentioned the need for pressure washing in my original post. I don't think the owners are aware how amazing pressure washing will clean concrete and stone surfaces. Probably a full week of pressure washing there. lol

@@chrisgraham2904 Yes and it would be worth every cent to clean the stone - I did my wooden deck and it was amazing - if only people knew what a difference it would make - it would be like a brand new property - maybe they'll read our text - are you in Canada?

@@l.lynneirwin5570 Right. But having been in the house through a few visits and actually living in it long enough to experience phenomenon are two different things. The best features of this home is that it is not open concept and that there are lots of trees. I do get that all the wood might be too much for some but it is a lot lighter than some I have seen. The open concept fad needs to end.
