Hey Joe, I had some friends that went there in the 60's while I attended John Jay HS. I loved running on the outdoor track there in the 70's. Good practice for my attempt at the NYC Marathon in 1978. No, I didn't win.

Ah, the gingerbread house. I lived in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn in the 1970's/80's and used to jog at the outdoor track at Ft. Hamilton HS (the fort). My run took me past this house several times a week. Truly beautiful home and awesome neighborhood, at least in the 1970's. Haven't been back there since a trip to Bliss park and The Three Jolly Pigeons pub in 2014. The streets ( Narrows, Colonial, Ridge Blvd and Shore Rd) there are quite different from "city" living. A very happy time for me.

Super ! That and $2.75 will get U on the subway. I lived in, Brooklyn, Iowa, once. 🙄

@@SeamusMcGillicuddy0 I haven't heard that phrase in years. As kids we'd say "that and 15 cents will get you on the subway". Know what?? The trains were cleaner, ran more reliably and you met a better class of people in those days on the subway. Wayyyyyy before it was called Fun City. Hear it's going to three bucks soon for a ride. Never been to the Heartland 'cept for a trip to the left coast in 2005.

@@martyjewell5683 I first heard that phrase when the bus/subway fares were 15 cents, too. As with just about any municipal services in New Yawk, costs are way up and services are abysmal. Where’s the infamous “Tower of Jelly,” John V. Linseed when NYC needs him.🙄

@@SeamusMcGillicuddy0 Yeah, think Lindsay coined the phrase Fun City too. Whatta asshole. I'm upstate since late1980's (no, not Sing Sing). Close enough to visit and I get NY1 NYC news on cable so I stay up-to-date on scuttlebutt. Grew up in 1950's Bush Terminal section, run down and poor I-tal's, PR"s and Pol's. Everybody was catholic except my family. Gettin' my own place in Bay Ridge was like heaven in 1974.

Stunning! Anyone should love this home.

The Venture Bros. led me here. They used this house as a model for the residence of two recurring characters on the show in one episode. One of the creators used to walk past this house on his way to school as a kid. I just love the natural design and all the woodwork inside.
