Rookie cards are the most valuable cards to collect and invest. The parallel (red, green, etc.) rookie cards are even more valuable. Some parallels are rare (only 100 made, or 10, or even 1) and can go for hundreds or even thousands of bucks, especially if the player is a rising star or established superstar.

Found another bundle at my local Costco! My Costco did a GREAT job by limiting how many you could buy (3 per), and Costco actually takes that seriously! There had already been at least a few dozen people who already picked some up before me, but if it wasn’t for that rule, they would have been gone. But instead, more people have the chance to get some!
