This is why I always preferred collecting Pokemon and Yugioh cards; they're surprisingly valuable assets whereas playing the actual games physically is a huge liability (sleeves, driving to tournaments, paying tournament fees, etc.)

Of course it would be, but I wasn’t going to scam people with the other packs. Even the light packs now are worth a lot, so as long as the buyer knows they are receiving a light pack it is acceptable to sell them

actually， you can judge by weight and feelings of touch if there is a card you want in the pack. my local card store owner just forbid us from doing so. and guess what, he can do it too, and he manually created an all-foil box for us to open, at a higher price of course lol.

@@HansPeter-iv9ck Thats only if you get everything graded as a psa 10, and he himself said that some cards are off centered which decreases the chances of getting that psa 10, also one card (i think it was a rare) got a little white on the bottom corner at the start of the video, so yeah if he gets lucky he is gonna make around 7k if someone buys everything, if he doesnt get lucky he is gonna be down couple grand...

@@lightman9935 I have seen plenty of people sending cards back in and then it returned as a 10. The PSA rating does say NOTHING. Hell PSA even grades misprints worse just because they are misprints but are in fact worth much more because of that misprint. So yeah send your cards in until you got that 9 or 10 it will happen sooner or later as long as the cards didnt run a military field exam.

Not sure if you know already knew this, some of the older packs would have a very subtle marking (eg, black/red dot in yugi's hair/face/cheek) to indicate it has a holo inside. This isn't always the case, but I personally did with holo packs from my magic ruler box. Try scanning over them to see if you could find any markings. Awesome vid btw!

Scaling is only scummy if you do scummy things with the light packs. Otherwise, there is no reason to open every pack of such a rare set. The Pokemon community literally scales every single box and sells the packs as light and heavy. Its actually a lot more transparent than guessing from every seller whether or not the packs have been scaled

When I was a kid my father bought me a binder that had every secret, ultra, and super rare up until like 2007 but I sold it later and got ripped off for 2,000 but I have recently found my complete library 1st edition set minus blue eyes, flame swordsman, and man eater but. They’re really on valuable if they’re PSA graded 9/10. Other than that, wouldn’t be worth the time trying to sell. Plus, he’s only posting EBay sales and not the actual value of the cards.
