Unsurprisingly, Bonanza is my favorite set of the year. With the amount of good and playable cards in both the main set and the nostalgia pool it made it really hard to pick any other set from this year…and Stampede is probably gonna be the only set of next year that tops Bonanza.

I got back into Yugioh in August, so I opened so much retro pack and even completed the set which is kinda insane for me. I learned the rules again and start playing Goat Format with a buddy of mine. I came across this channel, and I have watched almost every upload including some whatnot streams. I love the streams and uploads. That Blue-eyes wavy box was insane. Bananza is probably my favorite set due to the collectability of those cards.

The thing with Bonanza is that the Main Set is ok, but the Nostalgia Set is Absolutely Incredible. It’s got stuff like Caius, Judgment Dragon, CED, DMOC, and BLS as well as old school stuff like Blue-Eyes, Dark Magician, Red-Eyes, DMG, and Dark Paladin. So in my opinion there’s really nothing else like it (Aside from Stampede next year of course).

Retro pack reprint set is my favourite 100%. It was an oddball set back in the days where nobody thought too much about it when it randomly showed up at your local walmart and turned out to be an amazing many NA fans missed out on, and now we got a technically “1st” print for NA for essential vintage cards in vintage printing

Bonaza is for sure my favorite set, even only having bought a couple of packs of it, the pulls out of those packs were amazing QCR Thrust, a playset of mismatching rarity of Wanted, and a platinum rare BLS, and an ultra Little Knight

Bonanza is the best but i think if the tin wasn't too bad that could be a good product like sp ,thrust, dipater, and some good alt arts that are relaly cool but like why is one for one is in bonanza not in tins like what? Unfortunately no structure deck

Bonanza was my favorite. Pulling a Chimeratech Fortress Dragon, platinum Obelisk, and a QCR Instant Fusion in my first pack was awesome. It was such a great set. Cannot wait for Stampede.

Bonanza got me back into collecting but the Retro Pack reprint has been pure dopamine. Exodia pieces, OG art Red-Eyes plus all of the OG commons from back in the day. Definitely been my favorite set since coming back.

Wow, the consensus really is Bonanza. And I can see why. Beautiful QCRs. For me its Crossover Breakers. Malice as an archtype is just so fun bouncing all over and with lots of possibilities and Ryzeal has some serious staying power. Bonanza close second. Looking forward to Stampede!

My favorite set is probably Bonanza. So many great old cards plus really good reprints. Just a complete banger of a set. (Light of Retro, Broominerva!) Maze having the 5 Ultras for you is an error. It was still 3 on average until Crossover Breakers at the end of the year. Also, Bonfire was not only a HIGHLY anticipated card that powered up the already top decks in the game, which you needed 3 copies of, but also was a UR in a set that normally was stingy with UR's (aka CR sets at that time). It all just kinda made sense that it was over $100 for a long while this year unfortunately. Ashened was never great unfortunately so it was never meta. The Black Goat Laughs is a good side-deck card. Tenpai Dragons have been extremely good in both MD and the TCG. One of the top decks of both games for over half the year. I've always been confused as to why Fiendsmith Requiem, which is 100% necessary for the Fiendsmith combos to exist in the first place and as a SCR, was really cheap. I think it was only a 1-of for a long time, maybe that's been upped after time but it's always been less than $5 I think? Very weird because even the SCR spell card, Tract, was a 1-of and it was more expensive. Fiendsmith btw, for anyone that doesn't follow the meta, is still in many tournament winning decks, even with the new Ryzeal cards lol. The tins were bad for a couple reasons. Mainly because was it was too bloated with a bad pack setup. You only got 1 SCR per pack, which was where most of the top cards were, from a 50 card pool. So $20-$25 (per tin) for 3 random SCR's and 3 QCR's each from a 50 card pool. So the pull rates were brutal. Even if Bonanza didn't reprint most of the best cards from the tins, it still would have been a bad product for it's design. For instance, Chaos Angel and Typhon from the tins are around $30 each still, Angel a bit higher, so it's still not cheap to get those cards if you want them in Prismatic Secret Rare (which is Chaos Angel's cheapest printing). There are still a ton of great cards in the set but there's just simply way too many of them. 400 card set btw). Also the UR's were absolutely designed to be pack filler as most of them aren't good or don't need to be URs, and they take up 3 slots per pack instead of another SCR which would have been good for the set. Bonanza is a good set. The nostalgia cards were great, I loved those. The main set was a story of extremes imo. It had a handful of the top cards in the game, it had a bit of good stuff below that, but a LOT of the main set was very specific archtype cards that the everyday player isn't gonna care about, or just not so good that you'd want it in a RC pack. More stuff in the low end than the high end. I kinda agree with the reprinting in that you just can't put out enough new cards that are huge meta cards each year and outpace having 2 RC's a year if it stays at like 80 cards without having to put less hype cards more and more as you go, since they generally wait around a year to reprint core set cards. I still think reprinting expensive or harder to find meta/competitive cards is the way to go. It literally keeps players in the game and lets new ones play for cheaper. As far as Crossover Breakers goes, all of the reprints are low rarity this time. In fact I think all of the foil cards in this set are new cards (except a few reprint Rare's that can also be Supers, which is new for this CR set). So actually CRBR is a fairly big shake-up of the normal CR set formula they've been going with for like... several years now, especially with the general ratio being 4 UR's instead of 3. Very strong set though competitively. Both Ryzeal and Maliss are top decks right now (Ryzeal has already won it's first YCS of being tournament legal) and Maliss is just having a ton of general buzz going into next year. Light of retro broom Minerva. I’m 30 I remember when the show started and I remember being five or six when I got my first card which was the armored armadillo and to this day I still have that card. My dad would never play pokemon with me but played yu gi oh with me, I’ve tried for years to stay away from yu gi oh videos bc it’s been since 2018 when I spent a decent amount of money on card with a buddy. I still have a lot of those card all first ed. This is probably the tenth video of yours I’ve watched and man seeing the newer cards makes me miss the cards. But alas I’ve changed to a magic man, but my heart will always be in the cards of yu gi oh. Also I have a thirteen year old son I’ve had into yu gi oh since he was about four lol

I think for me the favourite set is actually Ra02, as it gave me cheap access to a lot of staples. Ra01 obviously had the better ones, but it was still great to fill my staple binder, while ra03 was more focused on archetypes, so still very great set (and also nice for collectors with the nostalgia pool), but ra02 helped me more as a player Glad that you included Broomie in Light of Retro Broom Minerva :D

I did enjoy the two starter decks. Getting Zues and a few other cards were awesome. I also wanna get more of Phantom Nightmare. Rarity Collection 2 is something I'm almost done making a Collection for. But yeah my favourite is once again Bonanza. Tons of amazing cards and lots of nostalgic moments. Pride and joy is my Blue Eyes and Dark Magicain Girl quarter century rare.

Even though it came out in 2023, My Favorite set was Quarter Century LOB booster box. I pulled, Red Eyes Black Dragon, Tri Horned Dragon, and the nostalgic Blue Eyes White Dragon. In one box! But far as 2024, definitely Retro 1. Just wish I could get a booster box instead of 4 packs.

I really enjoyed Legacy of Destruction for the Shining Sarcophagus stuff (though I didn't really pick up much of it as I only really learned how to play the deck when it came to Master Duel) also Rarity 2 was amazing (as a Blue-Eyes player, being able to bump 4 of my cards to QCR was AMAZING, and we got our much needed reprint of Bingo Machine, Go!!!) and of course, Bonanza, which needs no explanation. Honestly, this year was a blast for me. My favorite being Battles of Legends: Terminal Revenge. I bought three boxes and saved them for Christmas. I got so lucky and got Dragon Master Magia. I was in shock, not expecting much. It is so cool to own this card, and I will probably keep it as a little trophy for me. Have a great year to all you guys!!

Loved Light of Retro Broom Minerva, loved Retro Pack, enjoyed Infinite Forbidden and my favourite would be Terminal revenge...If I had pulled Magia. Therefore Bonanza is my favourite.
