If you’re happy, that’s all that matters. My personal pain threshold for a disc is around $25 Where I am in the sport today as an amateur. I’m not a collector, so if I buy it, I’m going to bag it, or use it as a practice disc. Mine get thrown, and lost (sometimes found again) but often just donated to the water hazards on new courses I play. (I play a lot of unfamiliar courses when I travel). Actually, I’m on the opposite end of the spectrum where I am searching for clothes, outs, and bargain deals on the discs that I know I like to throw. Often times end of year I can pick up colors that aren’t selling or signature models from pros that switched companies for $8-$10. This year on Black Friday about 10 putters at a local big box store for under $5 each because they put their entire Disc Golf inventory on BOGO, that’s perfect for having a good stock for practicing because when you’re throwing a ton, the chains wear them down.
