Considering Ichiro was already 27 before he ever touched the MLB, and actually had sone crazy pro hit numbers in Japan, especially for his age over there. And still dropped well over 3,000 hits here? A universal HOF 1st ballot number? Add in you cant even hint at his low power approach in the steroid talks. He has zero personal marks against him. I can not imagine a single voter who would say no. That being said, a couple said no to Greg Maddux, which is unfathomable.

Always enjoy a throwback, the redemption thing is always a downer. I think they should have a mandatory 6-8 year on expiration. Seems like I get some now and they expire within a year or two which isn't enough time. I am sure Topps will send him something in return, they are always good about being fair.

This set looks beautiful. I wish Topps would incorporate this look more. I love the way they have the logo along with the action shots and blurred out background. Plus the inserts in this actually seemed pretty decent unlike the useless stuff we see in newer sets. I hope Topps stops doing their boring, sterile looking designs that they've been throwing out the last few years.
