You should never blow on a cartridge. Use a q-tip and isopropyl alcohol to clean the contacts. Blowing on them coats them with moisture from your breath which leads to corrosion of both the cartridge contacts but also the cartridge reader contacts in your DS.

@@BroskiPlays Drug stores and grocery stores carry it. It's also an antiseptic. The higher the alcohol percentage, the better since it will evaporate more quickly. Anything above 70%.
