For those wondering: A fixed-base operator (FBO) is an organization granted the right by an airport to operate at the airport and provide aeronautical services such as fueling, hangaring, tie-down and parking, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, flight instruction, and similar services.[1] In common practice, an FBO is the primary provider of support services to general aviation operators at a public-use airport and is located either on land leased from the airport, or, in rare cases, adjacent property as a "through the fence operation".[2] In many smaller airports serving general aviation in remote or modest communities, the town itself may provide fuel services and operate a basic FBO facility. At 1:02 he states they are in the hospitality business, but the location has atrocious sound dampening, and we hear a hubbub of other people like it's some cheap unfurnished hall (and we don't even see many people in the vicinity). PS: Love your channel!

And the decor is weird. When I think of high end FBO it would be sleek, modern with lots of glass for a great view. This one is dark, loud and claustrophobic with lots of fake stone. And the spokes person really needs a shave lol.

The dream of mine to own and operate an FBO slips further and further away as these mega corporations snatch up existing FBOs. Maybe one day!

thumbs-DOWN #3 Friday late afternoon 24 September 2020! I selected and watched your entire video to learn what an FBO is and still do not know. Does it have luxury suites to offer to overnight airborne travelers?

No, a well-equipped Fixed Base Operation (FBO) may have a single or multiple snooze rooms so pilots and crew can rest during flights, but they are not in the hotel business. There are comfortable waiting areas for passengers, and some locations may have conference rooms to conduct business meetings, but generally passengers will leave the facility as soon as possible, while the crew will remain with the aircraft if the customer plans a return flight that day.
