The idea that you are eliminating the carbon footprints with this device, you would not be able to run it with batteries. The making of the batteries are heavy in causing carbon emissions. Do your research!!@

The problem with supersonic flight over populated areas isn't engine noise, which is what the Boom executive made it sound like. It's the shock wave created by the aircraft, and the Overture design does nothing to reduce that. Unless the aerodynamic shape is significantly changed, it will not have approval for supersonic flight over populated areas.

A really important development. Does it still have the APU in the rear? Has the APU been upgraded to use the same turbine and electric motor/generator as the two attached to the propellers. This is a great advance as smaller, cheaper turbines can be used. The two drive motors must be sized for the T/O and climb. Between three smaller turbines and the batteries sufficient power can be delivered to them. During cruise, the battery can recharge, and the plane could land just with battery energy, however, would need rapid startup of turbines for a go-around.

New aircraft type, new technology, new build techniques, new air traffic control requirements, new systems to mitigate weather hazards, new pilot competency and maintenance requirements, etc... It's all a big load so expect a long and difficult road to initial commercial OPS. 2025 is likely crazy and public acceptance is not automatic.

might sound dumb, but i wish they'd put glider plane wings on the tips.. it ruins the Norwegian maritime laws, u'd be able to fly much higher legally (wingspan x 1.5) they do not specify what counts as "ground effect wing" just that it cant fly out of ground effect, long wing span means inverted gull wings is optimal for turning due to clearance.. basically, wings are just there to nullify some of the extra weight and allow it to go 20M- 32m up in the air.

can it fly in windy conditions ? I doubt it. the problem is its a small market and not going to be mainstream so will not make people rich investing in this, you could not have too many in the air over a city as it would be dangerous and not possible, so comparing it to a taxi is not a true picture. there are many thousands of taxis.
