If a watch says quartz, it takes a battery. If it says jewels, it is a winding watch. its just gold plated.

Thanks so much! I have a watch shop not far by that can help me out with batteries I bet! Lol … some of my fave watches to find in the wild are 80s swatch rubber /acrylic watches..remember those?
