The song definitely flows better now, with the ending especially far outshining it. The Pico vocals are also a big upgrade. However, I definitely feel that the new DD vocals could do with some refinement or going back to the chromatic used in V1.

To be fair I honestly liked V1 more due to the overall feeling of it sounding more mysterious and like the start of the end along with the fact the DD vocals here dont sound the best but even with that? the V2 Is still really good and you did amazing just that V1 fits the scenario way more

.. why this DD voice? genuinely for the sake of elaborating since it's been a couple weeks and the "reactionary" claim can be disregarded, i as a viewer nor a critic can see the point of this dd voice from an artistry perspective. it's not even like you're using the original week 1 voice to try and be 'more accurate.' it just feels like you picked a weird dd voice to try and be baselessly unique. i don't even really take issue with most of the rest of the remake, but of all of the v2s made for insanity so far this one feels like the one with least point to it by a significant margin. the original song was excellent as is. (that said, i don't really like this implementation of tuned pico either. it's fine, but only fine.)

outside of what everybody’s been saying about the dd vocals, i gotta say that you absolutely cooked w the pico vocals here. not only do they sound a lot more interesting rhythmically, the addition of tuned vocals makes his sections way more fun to listen to i also like the beatbox section a bit more, sounds a bit clearer overall gg, can’t wait for the mod to come out so we can see the green midget get curbstomped by the big scary purple man

To be completely honest, I don't see why people are insistent on hating this. Overall, it's a pretty good improvement imo, and while yes, it may have some aspects that I personally think could've been better, that doesn't change the fact that it's still a major step-up in quality from v1. Starting with the vocals, they're a lot nicer sounding for the most part. I find the use of the tuned Pico vocals here to be really good, it adds some cool effect to the parts where they're included. At first I wasn't the biggest fan of DD's new chromatic, but I think its grown on me now that I've listened to this more. In some specific sections, his vocals sound a bit off with the new chromatic though, however, there are a _lot_ more parts where they sound incredible (e.g. 1:49, 2:33, 3:31). The changes made to the rest of the song are very cool; although, I kinda feel like the beatboxing should've been kept at 2:59, its new placement doesn't really feel as impactful as it did in v1. All that aside, you've done an awesome job once again, Weegee 🔥

​​​@@MegaVile2004 Chimera and courage (has been confirmed a v2 is on the way) Althrough I ended up liking the new chimera despite the vocals having weird volume at times, I hope courage is not changed to be as "hyped up" as the other remasters we been getting, it would not fit. EDIT: Coming back to this, hotwire also didn't need a remake, I'm still not used to the new one.

While I do think the drum beat can get a little repetitive I really liked the drop you put there, made me think OH SHIT. Very good switch-up on your part, imma say that the criticism on the DD chromatic is kinda unjustified though, because I think this one works fine and you used it quite well!! I would definitely say this is better than original Opening Act by a long shot, especially on the mixing department Very nice!! ^^

The updated version sounds really good and generally better than the original. DD and Pico vocals especially far outshine v1. But the ending (beatbox moment to the end of the song) is in my opinion a bit more underwhelming than v1 but everything else absolutely makes up for it.

I agree with people not liking the dd vocals here but for a different reason. it doesn't really sound like dd in quite a lot of the song ( at least in my personal opinion ) you could more than likely easily tell people the characters in nightfall and opening act are completely different and have them believe you. I think this is a major problem with the song even though i personally like the dd vocal's here i do think they just don't fit for the character. Major example of it not really sounding like dd IMO is 3:12 - 3:25 . Overall i think this is probably a slight improvement but the dd vocals need tweaked to be a bit more fitting for him

y'all are way too critical, v1 was way worse (but not bad), this is much better and actually one of the top songs now imo. yes dd chromatic doesn't fit in CERTAIN places but it does fit in others. the song didn't have personality before, imo, no offense but it just sounded like a repetitive song and just a cliche to me. now it has its own identity, it fits way better into the circumstances, and hating something like this because of ONE chromatic which isn't even that bad is hypocritical, imo.
