I think the main issue is that they have overdone it with the number of pulls. It is similar to movie sequels where every movie wants to top the one before, so cards get flashier every year, but at some point it becomes too much. Also, I feel like the removal of the yellow border makes older sets more interesting now, at least for me. And the third thing for me is the blatant difference in optical quality from english to japanese. English cards seem bleak and washed out, even worse than the difference was in SwSh.

I think supply and demand is certainly an issue, but I also think that the quality of the english cards is a HUGE issue. Japanese cards have always had fairly decent pull rates and I can almost always buy a single booster box and get a close to complete set with a few rare/secret rares. But the difference is the japanese cards are EXTREMELY high quality and that keeps me going back every time.

I got back into TCG with S&V and I really like it, but I think people are feeling the come down from SWSH which I understand. Looking for Pokemon to make more risks with the future sets.

I think the main issue is connecting to the new Pokémon and characters as well as feeling burnt out on the same details. Art is amazing, chase is good, but feels very repetitive. I would like to see them maybe pull back a little on releases and mby do some ccg related sets in collaboration with topps maybe 🤷🏻‍♂️ I think 151 has sparked interest, but I wish they would do a run of the anime that’s more towards the older audience like the short series they did for the anniversary.

I've opened a decent amount of this so far and most of the boxes I've opened are good but there is like little edge wear marks. Not big but regardless there there. And it's like 85% of the cards. And there is a shit ton of pulls and that's cool but on the other hand I've opened like 3 boxes in Japanese and they were good also but they DIDNT have the wear much at all. I didn't get as many pulls but the quality was better.

No data to back this up but it feels like Pokemon tried to stack the pre-release and early printing of this set with big hits. My guess would be to create excitement but it has backfired and tanked the set. Personally, I've had okay luck but it feels like pull rates have changed since release. Regardless, I would much rather buy a set with hits than pack after pack of bulk. Opposite of what an "investor" would want and that's why they aren't buying it.

Not a fan of ex cards or the plain full arts, I do like the more rares per pack & the illustration cards though.

In my personal opinion I find that the common cards look to cartoony and cute. Meaning that unless you get a special art that none of the cards you pull you end up really enjoying / wanting.

Idm it yk, I can't lie - I am not collecting any of the sets as of yet (want to complete the SWSH sets first) but having the chance to open a booster box and etb of each new set, I have actually really enjoyed it!

the new stuff just, isn't that interesting at all i much prefer sword and shield era cards over paldea, i wonder if that has something to do with the games themselves being worse and worse and paldea having a ton of new generation region cards while sword and shield had a lot of older mon mixed in with the new stuff

Quite nice era I like illustration rares full trainers and nice being back ex however not fan of full art styles Pokémon this era also arts of common to rare nice yet halos not much so. Favourite so far set paldea enolved
