She's Egyptian and judging from her accent is probably a northerner. So, it makes perfect sense that she's a light brown skin color, and your NA heritage is probably more Sahelian (Sudan) derived than Southern Egyptian.

@@RonBurgundyTime That's not how it works... Do you even know what Ethiopians look like???
@RonBurgundyTime5 жыл бұрын
@@quicksilver1752 I do know what Ethiopians look like and they are not North African looking i.e. South Med looking. Some Horners look Middle Easterner, think South Arabian with all its variety but that's it.
@quicksilver17525 жыл бұрын
@@RonBurgundyTime No I don't think you do... Obviously they are not completely North African looking but the subject of the original post never claimed that... She never claimed she had 90% middle east & North African DNA but 30% and you were trying to claim that it was mostly Sudanese because you think it's hard to believe that it is North African... And here's a correction. MOST Horner's clearly look like they have some sort of Arab or non sub-saharan DNA based on the stereotypical looks of Africans. SOME Horners look EXACTLY like middle easterners or non sub-saharan (again based on stereotypes) and few horners, and these are minority groups inhabiting southwestern ethiopia, look completely as stereotypical sub-saharan. But even these groups are not quite consider Ethiopian by other Ethiopians as they are so distance in culture and never even had any historical relationships to the major ethnic groups of ethiopia... There's soo much more aspects to this that even further proves your mistake but I would then go on and on...
@quicksilver17525 жыл бұрын
@@RonBurgundyTime But one more thing, Ethiopians, Arabians and North Africans posses a certain haplogroup that is only found within these three groups... What medikkk was saying was absolutely correct... You just have an ignorant perception on Ethiopians...

It’s not rare it’s just not many Egyptians do this test! there are so many people that I know who did this test and they were 85%, 88% and 90% North Africans but they don’t upload their results.
@TRUTHTEACHER2007 Жыл бұрын
@@Ooomnia It also depends on the individual family lines. For example, people forget that the elite classes in Egypt for a very long time were actually descended from Turkish, Albanians and Circassians. So if a person comes from one of those family lines settled in Egypt, of course they're going to show more European, but that's not a reflection of the majority of the population. An average Egyptian is going to show mostly North African ancestry.

M H ...LOL!!! 1) At a basic cursory level, most northern sudanese score between 40% and 70% sub-saharan on 23andme (you can see examples right here on KZbin), BUT they also all consistently score a SIGNIFICANT amount of "north african" as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXWVdn2unNKtY5I 2) It's obvious to me from your post that you know nothing about population genomics. The "north african" cluster in PCAs is not even a "real" cluster, it is actually a mixed cluster containing european dna (southern european like lineages), near eastern dna (various west asian/middle eastern like lineages), and sub-saharan dna (both "east african" and "west african" like lineages). At lower values of k it localizes as an allegedly DISTINCT "north african" component. But at higher values of k, this is revealed to be somewhat misleading, as the deeper k runs help expose its ADMIXED nature. The so called "north african" reference set is essentially made up of a predominantly west eurasian (70%-80% west eurasian) group of people with some substantial sub-saharan affinities (between 20%-30% sub-saharan). This is why dominicans will either plot with north africans on a PCA, or at an intermediate position between north africans and horn africans/fulanis. Please go read Sarah Tishkoff and Jibril Hirbo to get a deeper understanding of the peopling of Africa and then come back to me. Besides, I was talking about the geographical location of northern Sudan. Nothing else. Genetically, the average northern sudanese carries SIGNIFICANTLY more sub-saharan DNA than the average maghrebi and egyptian (with the exception of the average arabized mauritanian berber).
@ladyessi5 жыл бұрын
E1b1b1a m78 which originated in Yemen is highly present in north africa, and for that reason counted as a north african gene and not as a middle eastern gene. Only the subclades of J1 are counted as middle eastern. So people who say they are not arab, or theyre berbers or black are very far from the reality. History teaches that most arabs who lived in de north african kingdoms were of yemenite origin. Those genes are still yemeni, even though they are claimed to be north african, they didnt originate there. Caucasian berbers who come trolling in these comment sections really need to take a walk, berbers dont even have a genetic marker. Black berbers carry E1b1b1b m81, libyans carry E1b1b1a v65 and egyptians carry E1b1b1a m78 just like yemenis since they have their origins there. There is no such thing as a berber gene.
