Welcome back to the next installment of our captivating series, "Opening My Gold Mine." In this episode, Jason and @mineoperator are hard at work continuing the rehabilitation process deep down the drift. Safety and efficiency are our top priorities as we transform this abandoned mine into a productive gold-producing venture.
Join us as we muck and spread material across the mine floor. Our goal? To create a flat, level, and dry surface, enabling us to efficiently move muck from the face to the surface for transport to the mill. It's all about preparing the groundwork for the exciting steps ahead.
Safety is paramount in underground mining, and in this video, we demonstrate our commitment to it. Watch as we meticulously scale the ribs and back of the mine, eliminating the hazards of falling rocks and loose debris. Ensuring the well-being of our miners is a fundamental part of our mission.
The final segment of this video showcases our efforts in securing loose ground areas by setting sturdy stulls. These supports ensure that unstable sections are fortified and pose no danger as we navigate and work around them.
Stay tuned for upcoming episodes in this series, where we'll delve deeper into our journey - from reaching the elusive gold vein to the thrilling moments of drilling, blasting, and ultimately processing the ore at the mill to extract our gold. Don't miss a moment of this incredible adventure!

Thanks Jason and Mine Operators for showing the actual work needed to get to the actual mining process. Most people think its just jump in and start finding the money, then they fail because it doesn't pay enough for the work being done. Your setting yourselves up for success by making the upcoming work so much easier and less time consuming. I really hope this pays off huge for everyone involved. Stay safe and thanks for the fun videos, from your Nebraska flatlander fan.

Each episode rediscovers the mine as it was before, in the glorious era, very good work, I can't wait to see the next episode ! ⛏️🤟 Gold squad out 🤟 Little message of support from a French gold miner 🇫🇷

Nice job guys. What a mess you started off with. Its nice to see you doing the nasty dirty work at the beginning to make life easier in the long run. So many would just halfass the clean up to get on to the next step, I see that kind of work ethic everyday and it drives me insane. Its nice to know there are others who think like I do.

I fell in love with this channel watching you crush, process, then smelt materials and produce gold. That was fantastic and very enjoyable. Watching how much preparation, hard work, and determination go into opening a mine safely is eye-opening. You really start to understand how hard it is, and how important preparing things for a safe work environment means. Hats off to you and your crew Jason, fantastic work and insight. Oh yea, I loved watching that water burst through the dam, I know it's a little thing, but that was so satisfying to watch :)

Wasn’t in a mine, but my uncle and I needed to take a spring stream from one side of a path to another. The bedrock was only 2” down so we couldn’t put a whole tube in. We took a heavy duty 24” plastic tube and cut an arch from it that was 4” high at its highest. This allowed us to put 6” of gravel on top of it and still have the water continue to run freely.

@sterling1steve Evidently, they just wanted to trench and drain out the mine & fill in the puddles to get the wheelbarrows through to get at the paying seems further into the mine, the muck has only the material the old timers dropped & not really worth the labor to see what it has... They did the right move, after thinking about it more...

Understood. Thank you for explaining that. I probably would have wasted quite a lot of time testing but that's led by lack of experience. We are blessed - so many years of experience gained and imparted in these videos that guide our learning in such a short space of time.

I would use the water to drive the super fine silt and sludge out of the path so it can be coarse, permeable rock that keeps flowing smoothly. But then, me, personally, I would want to dig a serious drain with a stone/concrete cap over it, so that there is always a whole lot of protected drainage.
