With the release of the second wave of Pokemon Products, many Pokemon Fans wonder if Paldean Fates Pull Rates will stay consistent with how they have been performing.
In today's video we open an entire case of each of the new Pokemon releases - 98 Paldean Fates Booster Packs, to try and get a better understanding if Pokemon Pull Rates stay the same, or get worse!

I know a lot of people talk smack on SV era cards but I’m starting to feel like I’m enjoying opening this era’s products more than any other era. It’s so nice to open product and not get completely burned with no hits

I literally just got back into PTCG Collection after 23 years away 😂151 was a huge drawcard, so far I've only opened 9 booster packs from 2 separate collections and a mini-tin but I feel like I've easily got my moneys worth.. Multiple ex hits (Inlc. Charizard ex SIR), multiple cool holofoils, reverse holofoils, a ton of regular prints that I've only had a handful of double-ups on and of course the Black Star Promo's.. I feel like hit rates are perfectly balanced, I'd hate for each pack to contain 2 or 3 hits and end up with a flooded market with no genuine gratitude / excitement when you do pull something rare 🤷‍♂ The artworks are awesome and I like the product range too, I have no idea what fans are complaining about.

People talk shit because SV isn't something you can flip, and because they haven't played the game and aren't familiar with the new Pokémon. It's so annoying. The art has been amazing so far for this generation.

Because of the small sample size and the number of hyper rares being well above average then I would say it’s impossible to say for sure if the pull rates are different. You are also just within a 10% margin of error. Plus the packs in these products might actually still be part of the original print run. Best option would be to probably try again in a month or 2 when the probability of it being a second print run is higher. Even then I don’t think the pull rates will be much different.

Man..one of the reasons i lost interest back in 2000 was because my 6th grade teacher banned pokemon cards from school. Too much of a distraction or something apparently. Couldnt complete trades and could never collect enough on my own as a result....if only pokemon released pull rate numbers back then and convinced math/elementary teachers to give lessons on probability, and teachers could set better ground rules without stomping their feet and saying no....I probably would have kept going after Fossil and would have a way better collection today...

I don't think different waves have different pull rates. I mean from a marketing point of view, it doesn't make any sense.. You want people to keep finding rare cards, you need to keep them insterested. I think Pokemon selects specific numbers for ultra rare, hyper rares, sirs, etc for each wave (same numbers for each wave) and then these cards get mixed randomly in packs. It's completely normal to get lucky in the first or second wave and totally unlucky in other waves.. The number of booster packs released each time is very very big so any scenario is possible..

I've always thought pull rates are way better in wave one.. for one reason, to get the people who start collecting or haven't in a few years. All of a sudden, you're buying new sets and just pulling you in because you're pulling fire. By then, you're a gambling degenerate addicted to buying pokémon products... that's my theory!

As someone who got into this set late, it does seem like I'm not getting much luck. But I base that solely on being well over 100 packs in and not getting the Mew, my chase card, or the Charizard or any of the more valuable baby shinies.

From my limited observation, this new wave of products have a higher number of hyper rares and a slightly lower ratio of the other hits. SIRs are still very rare. I wonder if the market price will continue to increase for the top 3. Wonder how the booster bundles will look.

I think without doing the same amount of packs as the first two products, it's hard to compare. In experiments you try to have that control stay the same (in this case, pack number). So with this small sample size of packs, I think that 60 hits out of the expected 66 is pretty spot on. :)

I started collecting again with my family starting with 151 and now Paldean Fates. We can't really afford to rip any packa right now, but we do seem to see a slight change in pulls from the streams we've watched. To be blessed with the cards to help bolster my family's love of the TCG and collecting in general would be incredible. Love your content Danny

I'm off the Paldean Fates, 4 ETB and the best was a Charmeleon with print lines. Also, every other ok card have print lines. Quality control has gone down hill.

It’s not like the Charizard premium box one where is was made by ultra pro, it’s legit just one the clear plastic insides u normally throw away, so just look out if u open!!

I don't believe in the whole 1st/2nd/3rd etc wave pull rate theory. To be honest, I don't even remember a time where I pulled the big chases of any set at release. Everything usually came further down the road.

Statistically on sets I always do pretty well on pulls in the beginning and then the more time has passed with more product that is released the pulls continue to get worse. I’ve been talking about this theory as well as “batching or clumping” for about two years now. Usually people see it as pessimism or I’m just unlucky when I start to talk about it

Wish we had the same ratios as the Japanese sets. I'm sick and tired of reverse holos I prefer 5 cards per booster pack and let's keep 36 as the total booster box. Just give me SRs, RRs, AR, and SAR like Bandai does with their TCGs.

Pulled the Bubble Mew. Is Mew blue because he has no air in the bubble? I like him better than the shattered Charizard. I love this set, but it is impossible to get all of the cards.

Hey Danny, this video was very informative! Thanks for being able to do a smaller sample size compared to your 1000ish card pulls. Being able to collect data from your previous hits and use it on this sample size made me realize it's probably best to just buy singles for this set. This set has too many reprints and for most people the cards sought after are the baby shinies/full art shinies, HR's, SIR's. The pull rates are pretty good for this set and for 98 packs you pulled for the 2nd wave of Paldea Fates is honestly impressive. That Charizard definitely got your money back if you were to sell it. Definitely a small sample size compared to 2000 but it honestly didn't seem too bad? It was nice to see the SIR slot hit its average and still a good amount of Shiny Rares. Those two are really the only cards to care about in this set just based on what value they hold currently.

I can't agree, with Scarlet & Violet 151 (German) the pullrates kept getting better and better with each print run 😅😅😅 started off with some UPC's which absolutely crushed me and almost stoped me from collecting the Masterset 😥

For me I found I get better hits when I get products when they first get to the store. Then if I wait for the store to restock then buy it’s kinda weird. Another weird thing is so I’ll watch opening videos get some packs and I’ve had it three times now where my pack matched the person doing the video. It matched card for card and my cards where even in the sane order as theirs. I know it’s probably nothing but still weird 😂
