The Greek Pianist nope for he originally was a street performer in Britain. great thing about Internet. Information is easy to find. He created tape face personality to just try something new and to have fun. There's a British interview that he goes over this. Found it the same time agt was going on.

It's not!! Lol he was JOKING. He was saying that because of how long tape face has been a character for. He has to be in character so much that he is like that most of the time. He IS technically a mime so he does his act on the street, on the plane, in restaurants, airport... You name it. He doesn't really always look that way.

The way I see him is as a performer - the character is "The Boy With Tape on His Face" and tells us a story without saying a word. He understands the art of acting, of being a mime, of using the rest of his body including his face to communicate and it just... works.

Saw him live in Vegas and got a picture with him. Was a great performance, very funny, extremely interactive. Probably one of my favorite shows I've ever been to. Made it a point to buy some merchandise and support him because it was actually affordable. $20 for a shirt? Hell yeah! A criss angel shirt was like $80. Ridiculous.
