I guess that explains Apollo Creed’s dancing during his boxing introduction in Rocky 4.

One of my favorite childhood movies as well. Probably didn't show the middle fingers on TV. I don't remember seeing it either. Fuggin classic though!

I've been looking for this scene forever on YT. The reason being is because I was thinking about the old school food stamps. I remember playing poker with the fellas and gambling with food stamps 😂🤣. Even use to buy $65 books from the local winos for $20. Man, those were the days. 😢

I’m from Baton Rouge, where this movie was filmed, and I recognize every single location in the scene and in the movie overall. Of course, a lot of those places are gone now, redeveloped or bulldozed, but the Exxon refinery in the back drop of Jack’s neighborhood is still there, still pumping out pollution. Those folks he was playing poker with were actual low income residents of that part of town, definitely not somewhere you want to be after dark. The downtown area where Jack rides his bike still looks very much the same. Some fun facts, there really is a Plank road, and there really was a car wash, though I don’t think it was called Haley. And Fancy coming out of the building after shopping, she’s actually coming out of the municipal courthouse, which still looks very much the same, although the brick Plaza has been renovated. Parts of the original brick are still there, but it’s been redesigned. And I love that you can see the tall state capital in the background of a bunch of shots, it’s still the tallest building in the state. The Bates mansion is not far from my mom’s house outside of the city limits. It’s on a road that winds around a water park.

The opening credits with spelling blocks is the studio saying "the Greek alphabet firing code is scrambled". But how about that fire at Play World in 1982. This was playing in parallel to that at the RKO Alden. I saw the ad posters from the Q49 shuttle with Mom.

So in order to become part of More houses family you have to get rid of your bead. Maybe Mr. Bates had a horrific experience as child from horrific clown with a bread. I think he’s scared of clowns with beards. I never since that day he’s forced all his employees shave so he doesn’t have a trauma of the clown woth with the beard. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
