Can't believe it's been a year already. I've been loving this set since its release. This was the set that made me think "Why do people hate on S&V so much?!", haha. I think they nailed it with this set. They IRs and SIRs are excellent, the ETB promo is top tier. I definitely think TPCI knowingly tweaked this set to avoid the second set of a generation blues. I liked having the Iono as the main chase. She's a cool looking trainer and it was kinda nice seeing a trainer SIR take the top spot. It sucks that the only reason people are jumping on the bandwagon now is because the Magikarp is stonking out. Whatevers. That's usually how it goes in this hobby. I definitely wouldn't buy booster boxes at their current price. The set still has what... 2 more years in rotation? I'd be shocked if a reprint never came. Excellent box Luke! You pulled some sick cards! I'd have been content with that Chi-Yu SIR. Been chasing that from the jump. Beautiful card!

True, but demand goes hand-in-hand with price. People love that card, so price naturally went up. And when there is demand for a chase card, it can cause more demand for the set to try and pull it.

How do you guys collect? I went for the 151 masterset and i realised that i really don't have fun outright buying cards. I then moved to japanese and i also put "bulk" in my binders, but i love so many cards that those would never fit in binders 😂. But opening boxes just to store the cards away in some closet also feels like a waste. So how do you guys do it?

this is my fav set of all s&v so far (151 aside doe lol) im so glad people are coming around to the greatness of it! shinji kandas karp is just the tip of the iceberg but there is tons of great cards on this sets! anyway... great box! excellent content as usual!

btw the paldean whooper is a banger! made by miki tanaka: she has illustrated cards since base set and her style is so unique! im so glad she is been getting more and more full arts on recent sets.
