so CGC VHS Grading is the worst,,, I sent 30 tapes in and they recieved it on 10/29/2024. It is now 3 months latear and NOTHIING! It will be the last time I use them. I will try Beckett next,,, Just very disappointed,, They haven't even marked it as recieved! WTF! it has been 60 BUSINESS days,

Very helpful video! i’ve seen people negatively come at people for selling cards but I don’t see it as all bad at all. I recently just got back into collecting after years of letting it go as a kid. I would like to collect them now but also flip some to help me out personally or to build my collection further. I managed to hit a target restock with my nephew and got 2 etbs and 2 poster collections of prismatic evolutions. I managed to get an SIR Sylveon!

I recently stumbled across some prismatic evolutions binder, 2 poster and a sticker set. I’m not too interested in ripping them and would like to trade for ether celebrations or 151. I’d like to complete a 151 master set someday. I was offered a celebration etb trade. Trade for the celebration etb just to keep as sealed product or wait for 151 etb trade to rip packs ? Your math makes no sense because the car raw is $60 then 40 something dollars to grade it. So you're not at $60. You had nearly $100, maybe a little bit more so to sell it for $110 for $120. All of that just to make $20

If I were a grading company I would secretly work with yt and streamers and grade their cards for free. Keep up the buzz for grading making cards more worth and let the dumb people fall for it and buy overpriced "graded" prints :D

I wont ever go back to Beckett...they never give black labels unless you pay a lot of money for it....would not recommend. Honestly, everyone should switch over to the bew AI graders, that way the card is at least graded the same and fairly every time.

My first ever sub with becket I graded 2 cards and one got a black label the card was pristine right out the pack literally no problems with it perfection, even my girl who knows nothing about grading looked at it and said it was pretty clean that’s why I sent to Beckett. If you have any doubts about a card don’t send to Beckett most likely won’t get a black label.

Man Becket is so effed up. I sent em 3 perfect cards and they gave me 9.5's. They just pop control really popular cards and gatekeep who can get 10's.

PSA is the one that pop controls. In the USA beckett is probably the most legit grading company (I live in the UK so I have ACE)

@Mr_Plat Don't get me wrong. I like Beckett's product and overall value (even though their customer service is abysmal) but I know the cards I sent in were Becket 10's or at the least deserving of 10 subgrades like surface, corners, edges, and centering. Of the 3 perfect cards i sent in, none of them got a 10 subgrade on centering and the centering was quite literally perfect. Maybe the grader was not in a great mood maybe they don't like the way i put the sleeves in semi-rigid upside down to mitigate dust ingress on the card. In any case they did give me worse grades than the cards actually deserved. It was presumptuous of me to conclude that it's pop control but some sort of funny business goes on there 100%.

Yeah I only send ones that look really good to Beckett thinking they definitely should be 10s and I always get 9.5s too. Did it to my Pikachu ex SAR and my boa Hancock manga

@@tyclark7953 that's what I'm saying. I've got a jewlers loop and I've purchased a digital high res microscope that can take pictures. I scoured every mm of each card in that batch with a zoomed 4k galaxy s24. There's no way each of those cards didn't get at least 2 10 subgrades.

Grading is a scam, almost all modern cards can be a 10 and a lot of them can be black labels. But they don’t care they will pop control and say 7, 8, 9, or 10

I was obsessed with the base set thru gym heroes, lost all my cards around 2007 when my dad got divorced again, someone sold my collection at a garage sale. I had hundreds of foil cards and countless others. Probably would be worth a zillion bucks these days, it took me almost two decades to get over that and now I’m thinking about getting back into collecting. I was intrigued by the 151 set as I’m really only into the first and maybe second gen Pokemon. You make a great point about having a focus, I figured the 151 set was a good place to start and get a feel for the modern cards without having to learn the thousand new Pokemon who I’ve never heard of 😂
